If on foot , is it easy to get to most places?
Suggestions on a lunch spot there?
there is a center of town and if you're staying there then 'yes' you can get around. parts of Freemont are hilly. Seattle has good public trans and there is a stop in Freemont with a really cool sculpture. Also, be sure to see Rapunzel's hair on the Freemont Bridge
Have fun, it's a great place
Drive to a block or two away and then walk the whole area. It is very nice even if you go up and see the ogre under the bridge. I have not eaten there in 5 years and so I do not have a dinner suggestion but plan on it anyway. Go on down there and ask the local shop owners where they get lunch. There used to be lots of nice places and there probably still are.
It is a fun place to travel on foot. In fact, if you park and walk or bike, you will get the feel and see things you cannot from a car.
Yes you can walk to most places. It is hilly. If you have access to a bike that will be great, too. Public transportation is easy to use as well.
Just walking the streets will give you plenty of variety and anyplace I have eaten has been great. A foodie could spend a week exploring Fremont. It is easy to walk but hilly. See Freemontdotcome to preplan you trip.
