The 20 year agreement came to a close on March 2, 2017. The hotel is now independent.

No it is not - Marriott finally got tired of the owners not bringing the property up to Marriott standards and pulled the Marriott brand the beginning of March 2017. It is an independent hotel now and you will need to wait until the AC hotel opens in downtown Tucson for a full service Marriott in Tucson

Didn't know until now that Marriott pulled its name. Not surprising. It was not up to Marriott standards when we visited in February

It was when we booked and when we stayed there a month ago. Wouldn't be at all surprised to hear that Marriott had distanced its brand.
