Yes, you can either book through your tour operator before or on site. Or from the supplier at resort. However have a good look at the weather forecast, it is not cheap and their are no refunds. On cloudy nights you won't see anything

Most companies do 2 night or 3 night package, as this was our 2nd time we did the 3 nights as the resort has lots to do.

Yes, there was a quite expensive trip available. We saw the Northern Lights, both nights that we were there! We walked to the top of the toboggan run the first night, but then we saw them from the hotel on our second night!

Lapland Safari is right across the street from the Gielas Building. We booked quite a few tours with them. You can check out their website, very well organized and easy to navigate. You can choose reindeer safari, slede (pulled by snowmobile) safari, mini bus safari. The only thing to watch out for is (ridibg) snowmobile safari. Read mixed reviews, did not book that one.

As stated above if the sky is clear you can see the lights very clearly over the ski slope.

What I've done in the past is walk up the sledging slope on the mountain to the top and you have a beautiful view of all the area. 20 mins walk, take a torch. There's normally lots of people doing it so just ask or follow them.

Or you can walk passed the hotel and down to the haunted chalet where there isn't any street lights and you will have a clear view there also.

Failing those there are snow mobile tours that take you out over the frozen lakes at night and you might see them also. Normally between £60-80.

I hope that helps:)
