Newly built hotel just a few years old. Rooms tend to be smaller than the photograph but are comfortable.(in other words the rooms look much larger in the pics than what I experienced) TV/BAR Lounge and meals served in the Lobby area iff needed but personally there are so many restaurants in the area including local food courts you could go there instead. Bugis Junction for the young and trendy is around the block. Can walk to Little India from here if you are energetic.
I took a bus from Sim Lim Square area near Bugis Junction (sorry can't remember the number) Nice wide lake with turtles /fish and occasionally the odd nuisance monkey so watch out for your your kids food/snack!
Mainly Muslim store and cutomers but Personally I'd avoid Sundays here as the whole of the migrant labour/worker population tends to congregate around and inside here just for something to do -so if you don't like crowds either come very early or choose another day. Open 24 hours as far as I recall. Lots of sundries, dried and fresh foods as well as frozen . Can even buy a vegetarian burger and hot milk tea outside the door. Be aware your bag may need to be stored before you go in the store or it will have to be tied and clipped by security.
The ocean around this area is full of industrial tanker ships. However, if you find a good spot you may, just may be able to walk into he water's edge and paddle your feet but I do not think it is clean enough to swim-though some people do.
Set in the Arab area near eateries and cafes. No lift. Staff were friendly too me but I did find mixed sex dormitory a bit unpleasant. Small but OK dining room on ground floor.
Large gardens with both woodland , water and mounds/small hills and slopes so best take an afternoon out here.
Can be really hectic here on the weekend and that includes getting here via MRT/Public transport. All the very best that a Modern City can provide here -even have a famous Marks and Spencer department store which sells quality foods. Food Republic can be reached from here.
