I love, love, love the desert southwest ! Arizona, Utah and Colorado are so close for quick visits. I am a DIY diva and a singer. I look for "out of the box" quirky places to go while in an area.

Visit some of the old Las Vegas signs from bygone days. And enjoy the art of the neon sign.
Quiet place to get away from the Strip and enjoy nature.
Old Vegas at it's best and worst. It should be seen because you never know what your'll see!
Look into the eyes of a shark and see some lovely aquatic animals while you are at there.
Do not miss this! Remarkable bit of history, building and architecture. If you are lucky enough to go on a helicopter ride over the Dam, it will make it an even better experience for you.
Take the Grand Canyon tour, Hoover Dam or night over Las Vegas tour and bring a camera
Enjoy being in Venice without being in a airplane and getting jet lag. Listen to opera, see statues come alive or just people watch, but most of all - eat good food while doing it.
See how candy is made and also see a cactus collection that is quite impressive. Then, eat some candy. What's not to like about eating chocolate? ;-)
For car fanatics everywhere and you can even purchase one if you like!
An interesting way to see Las Vegas from the air and a camera worthy experience, (although not for people who hate to be confined).
