  • Most places don't have dedicated parking, so you'll have to park on the street or find a garage. And there are lots of one-way streets, so try not to get too turned around!

Off the beaten path for a tourist, this spot is popular with the locals and the Loyola crowd. They offer almost 20 different dog options, from veggie to turducken, with an impossibly long list of toppings. Great outdoor seating and a nice beer selection.

A big menu tucked in an out of the way former residence, it's impossible to not find something worth trying here. Chef Nathaniel Zimet (a "Chopped" Champion) offers a wide variety of small & large plates at reasonable prices so you can try a bunch & share with friends.

    Restaurants (Deli)
    heywood417 Says:

While the primary business here is wine, beer, & liquor sales, they also have a wonderful deli with daily rotating chef specials. They sell individually refridgerated beers as well, so you can pick a bottle of wine or a couple brews, carry them up to the counter, pay for them when you place your food order and they'll provide glasses. If you just want to snack & have some wine, their Gourmet Foods counter can also make you a Cheese Plate with a variety of sliced meats, cheeses, olives/pickles & fruit w/crackers to munch on while having a freshly picked bottle of wine. Feel free to visit any of their locations--all have the same menu & an excellent selection of beverages.

While located in the French Quarter, this spot is tucked into a short alley with minimal signage. VERY cozy seating indoors, but they have some outdoor tables as well during the nice months (which is most months in New Orleans). The menu is full of comfort food and clever takes on some more traditional Louisiana cuisine. Their lunch menu includes several tasty "breakfast" options if you wake up a little late. :)
