3 big Aussies with bikes rolled in, no booking, no worries.
$50 for a western room per night. Including breakfast.
Language barrier was tricky, but hey: get over it - it's $50.
Room was cool, had a shower and bath and a great steak restaurant next door. We left our bikes safe and secure in the foyer, no drama.
We stayed in a triple room with a separate toilet and shower. Very nice room with plenty of space - which is a bit unusual for Japan. Clean and efficient. The buffet breakfast was limited to Japanese food except for some white bread and raisin rolls. Pillows were very hard and lumpy.
Lovely hotel. Our room was very spacious with heating (needed as it was cold). The shower was totally separate to the toilet and wash basin, with plenty of hot water. Beds were comfortable. Free tea or coffee all day down at reception. Breakfast was buffet style with toast and jam for us westerners! Staff very friendly. Ideal spot to use as a base for birdwatching.
We enjoyed our stay here. The room was quite spacious and comfortable with plenty of hot water. The beds were quite firm but very comfortable. The breakfast was buffet style and offered something for everyone. There was lovely sticky rice and tasty morsels to have with it such as fried chicken or fish vegetables and pickles. There is also a toaster to make toast with butter and jam with coffee tea or miso soup. A good location from which to birdwatch only about 15 minutes to cagowa dam and the same to the crane sanctuary. Very hospitable and welcoming. Would recommend this for a short stay in the area.
We spent two nights at this hotel whilst bird-watching in the surrounding area. The hotel is across the road from the railway station and has plenty of free parking, if like us, you've hired a car. The room was the most spacious of our trip with two mid-size beds and a bathroom which was on the same level as the room (rather than the step-in type); we think this is because we had been allocated a wheelchair friendly room. Breakfast was included in the room rate and was self-service, with a tasty selection of Japanese food. Although the breakfast area was on the small side (near reception) it was fine for what we needed. The hotel was apologetic that they were unable to service our room (it was our fault as we took the key with us) and gave us some complimentary bottles of water. There is a restaurant on the site of the hotel, however, we did not use it and, therefore can't comment on it. The staff were extremely friendly, there was free wi-fi in the room and all the usual facilities. Overall we were pleasantly surprised and would recommend.
