The hotel is beautiful and charming, but far from everything, beach and resort. You need a car, no restaurants or shops near it. Our room faced a busy road, a bit boisy and not a nice view. No ketle, tea/coffee available in room and bar often with no staff attending.

There is a lot to like about this hotel. Spacious rooms, very good breakfasts, large pool areas, a fairly good tapas style cafe to eat at lunchtime.

The hotel adjoins a busy road, but it didn't trouble us at night.

The hotel is lacking atmosphere at night so don't come here if you are wanting that. There are no tea and coffee facilities in the room. When I ordered a coffee in the lounge it arrived cold. You need to ask for service. No-one offers to help you with your luggage and there is no lift.

We were recommended a restaurant in Ca'n Picafort which was excellent.

The hotel is not so special as you would expect from the price.
Coming from the Park Hyatt it feels realy back to basic.
Beds are uncomfortably hard, airco capacity is not enough to cool the room.
Breakfast is far from tasteful. Croissants are not even looking and tasting as they should.
The gym offered on the website is a farce. You have to book this room in advance otherwise you can not do a work out.
Interior of the room is outdated.

Response from Miguel Angel M, Director General at Casal Santa Eulàlia
Responded 4 Aug 2016
Dear Family Teelen/Beukema, Thank you very much for taking your time to value your one-night stay at Casal Santa Eulàlia. First of all we want to clarify the pricing scheme you have tried to point out. Although it's a pleasure to be compared with a large hotel chain as Park Hyatt certainly is, we have to say that you paid there more than 3 times what you paid at our hotel. These would be the rates during the high season (July 2016): Price for a double room in Casal Santa Eulàlia for one night 270 € Price for a double room in Park Hyatt for one night 890 € I think any further comparation would be unfair in this case. Nevertheless we are very proud to be a small family bussiness offering a great experience to our guests. As you can see in other comments, we do offer a personalized service in a historical building located in the mallorcan countryside. Unfortunatelly you haven't mentioned during your stay any of the issues you have written in your review. Definitely we could have solved them. I have to say that I really regret that we haven't felt your disappointment during your stay. Regarding the gym you are right that we offer our guests the possibility to reserve the complete SPA area for themselves. As we are a small hotel, this is normally very appreciated. It's usually easy to book the area and enjoy being alone and relaxed. Please feel free to contact us if you need any further explanation. Best Regards from Mallorca

Chose this location for 2 nights for the start of our Mallorcan holiday. The setting is lovely, tasteful conversion of what had originally been a convent. Lovely architecture inside and out.

Our room was spacious and comfortable and the bathroom was also a good size. We had a lovely terrace with sun loungers and coffee table and chairs, looking over a large lawn.

We had dinner on the Monday night- a BBQ including wine and dessert for 50euros each. It was a lovely setting near the main pool.

Breakfast was a nice buffet and plentiful. And on the morning of my wife's birthday we were given a lovely cake with a candle.

The nearest beach is C'an Picafort, 5 mins drive away, but the two pools are in nice settings.

Really loved this hotel and want to give it 4.5. The only criticism was the lack of free drinking water. 6euros per bottle in the room. Luckily there are plenty of supermarkets in C'an Picafort. However I would gladly stay here again.

This is quite a vast property near Can Picafort. On your way you'll be nervous becuase you'll see lots of litter, fly-tipping, and a field that actually looks like a builder is using it as a dump. None of this is the fault of the property of course, and when you turn into their driveway you'll immediately think wow and thank god!! You will be welcomed warmly and competently and shown around the property with a cute amount of pride, so endearing. It's lovely to see people liking where they work.
We stayed in Petit Eulalia across the road, which sounds not great, but actually is. It's quieter over there, you have your own pool (with an amazing view of the hills, shower, not used by everyone but that's not the property's fault either, although more insistent signage might work) shared with maybe ten other self-catering units. There is a large living area, shared, with books, beach umbrellas, and couches. Then your room will wow you. It's not that big, but well planned. The bathroom is lovely, seperate shower and jacuzzi bath (small but adequate, we shouldn't be wasting Mallorcan water on baths anyway right?!) There is a small kitchenette, not very well equipped actually, but again, sufficient, not for chefs.. Watch how you store your food, there are a lot of ants and they love coming in and have lots of access points. The bed is super king, and very comfy, the aircon is good, but not really necessary even in August, so I guess this means it's built well! The decor is really tasteful and a tasty mix of old and new.
Outside you have your own small patio, not very private but then it's nice to meet neighbour and have a glass of wine and compare travel notes:) You are really near the beach, but it's not a nice one. The resort of can picafort is best avoided really.. dirty and tired looking, with dodgy bands, tacky stalls and entertainment. There is a monstrous hotel there called Tonga Towers but go in and up to the top floor to take in a spectacular view and smile and hug yourself with glee that you're returning later to Casal Eulalia! Very good supermarkets nearby, and of course you are within easy rea of far nicer places and beaches. The staff will help you.
There is a spa for private use, it's amazing, giant jacuzzi, shower, mini gym, although the sauna did overheat - hopefully they've fixed that by now, I got the impression not many people use it so they might not have known it was an issue until we said it.

They have wifi but it's not great - which suited us fine actually!

There is a a guy I want to single out as fabulous -Tomeo, 20 ish years old, who doesn't realise he is quite the asset and could work anywhere in the world and any hotel would be glad of it. He has a wonderful rapport with clients and is utterly helpful and pleasant.
The breakfast is very, very good and served by very lovely people. I cannot stress enough how great the staff are here, they really are, without exception, and it makes all the difference.

We had a mini crisis with our next accomodation and they were so very kind and helpful.

We had dinner only once, it was very nice, perhaps overpriced though, but as a treat, it's worth doing at least once during your stay, you can share a bottle of lovely Rosado and relax in the comfort of the gorgeous outdoor seated area. Really. Gorgeous.

The grounds are super well maintained, including robot lawnmowers, so no intrusive noises or petrol fumes.. bliss....

There is a resident pair or peregrine falcons where our room was. Wow. In Ireland these are hard to find, and a special sight indeed - here they swoop down during the day from their palm tree and come quite close as they get to know you. There's a little pool below the swimming pool, maybe 50 meters away that is home to damselflies, dragonflies, frogs and strange orange things that are fascinating, worth the short stroll if you want something to look at in between feeling marvelously relaxed and super.

I could actually go on for years about this place but will hold it here - Gracias to all, we loved it and so appreciated your attention and help and very well done to you all.
