Decided to go on a last minute break to Cornwall. Had almost given up our search when we found Little Roseveth on the local visitors website and what a find it was. Jane and Andrew were delightful hosts, the room was very comfortable and the bathroom enormous!! The breakfast was delicious and most of the ingredients were locally sourced, the eggs from their own hens. The peace and quiet was just what we needed having lived in a building site for nearly two months! We cannot recommend Little Roseveth enough. We will be returning.
Friendly welcome from Jane and Andrew with cream tea. Tea, coffee and milk and always available in room and in lounge and bottles of local apple juice in room each day. The fridge and microwave in the guest lounge were very useful and after we arrived we arranged evening meals for subsequent days. The meals made the most of Jane and Andrew's seasonal produce and were delicious. In addition to fantastic cooked breakfasts Jane also provided a variety of fresh fruits and her own bread, yogurt and granola every day.
The bedroom and bathroom were very clean and the bedlinen, towels and bathrobes were good quality with lovely touches such as the local St Kitts soap, hand cream and perfume.
A very good location for sightseeing in both North and South Cornwall, we particularly enjoyed catching the boat from Truro to Falmouth to spend the day in Falmouth and Jane gave us good directions.
I can't think of anything not to like!
I travel quite extensively and always try to find a good farmhouse B&B. I discovered Little Roseveth two years ago and it's almost certainly my favourite B&B.
On my recent four day work trip to Cornwall I stayed three nights and it was as delightful as ever. The accommodation is extremely comfortable and has separate entrance from the main house. It features a large bedroom with very comfortable king size bed and well equipped en suite bathroom with power shower. Each evening I relaxed in the fabulous sitting room (this is shared with the guest/s occupying the upstairs room, though luckily I was the only visitor) watched tv and lit the wood burner to keep the evening chill away.
Jane and Andrew are great hosts, helpful and friendly, yet unobtrusive (important in my book). When I arrived, Jane brought me a delicious cream tea and asked what type of bread I would like for breakfast, as she would bake it that night. My first morning I had an outstanding full English made with high quality, fresh, local ingredients. The next two mornings I opted for fresh fruit, homemade granola, homemade yoghurt, home-baked bread with homemade preserves. That's an awful lot of "homemade" and it was all outstanding. I almost forgot - I asked Jane for strong coffee and it came just the way I like it.
Finally, the garden is one of the prettiest I've ever seen. If you make it there, I hope you enjoy your stay as much as I did.
I can't praise the hospitality, kindness, comfort and wonderful breakfast highly enough. The setting is idyllic, so peaceful. I stayed in a wonderfully comfortable, meticulously clean room following an emergency stay in Truro hospital and Jane couldn't have been kinder. Add the best (much of it home produced) breakfast I've had in years and it added up to joy! My friends and family are getting bored by my insistent recommendations that they should stay there. I'm sure I'll be back!
Yet again staying at little roseveth was such a great stay hosts where fantastic and the room was so clean the breakfast was delicious and location was elegant will recommend to friends and family. Thank you Jane for an enjoyable stay hope to see you soon.
