Wife and I came here for our anniversary. It's way off the beaten path...small roads to get there. Outside of any major city. It is exactly 1 hour from the Taipei 101. When we checked in the front desk clerk did not want to speak English, but started to after a little encouragement. We stayed in a romantic villa. One large queen bed. It was quite expensive, so I was very shocked at the condition of the room. Under-maintained would be the proper way to put it. The wallpaper was coming up, random nails, screws and wires sticking out of the wall. Weird stains here and there. Very disappointing. It had it's own small "private" pool. It wasn't quite private though. You could see the second floor lodge and the rooms above too. Not private. There is a public pool but the hours it is available are pretty ridiculous. Not very many times you can use it, and you have to wear a ridiculous swim cap. There are some beautiful birds in cages along a small path as well as a large pond that runs through most of the property. They have bicycles you can use for free (but everything is very far away) I'm not sure where you would want to ride them to. There just isn't enough on the property to do to really be able to call this a "resort." The restaurant was very delicious for dinner, but not so much for breakfast. For what we paid for this place, it wasn't near worth it.
Stayed for 2.5 days & 2 nights in 2 different type of rooms at Jun 2015. The villa and the bubble room. Breakfast, dinner are not bad. Very good experience there and looking for another visit. They should have a new and big restaurant and more rooms at the year of 2016.
The size of this B&B is like a resort, with big area for children, they can cycling, swimming, firecracker or visit nearby farms. The garden, the pool, the lotus pool nearby and the animals make this B&B looks great.
The location of the B&B is near the Luo Dong night market, travel by car is fast.
Room service should be the common room service of B&B at Yilan - environmental conservation. No extra number of pillows or towel will be provided. The rate at weekdays is fine to me. Worth one of the top 20 B&B at Yilan.
Ducks, fish, non-heated outdoor pool, parrots and bikes. The place is a good one day stay for elementary school children. I say one day because beyond that, the kids will probabily be bored out of their mind. Its a pity not much more is done to make the swamps and small greenary behind the hotel a more friendly walk path for visitors. The rooms are more like B&B's and with significant expansion to the hotel, we think the overall "resort" feel will turn out to me more like a commercial hotel with all the extra hotel guests. The place simply is not large enough to feel like a "resort" This is is good place to stay if you are looking for fun on a budget.
