Our flight arrived at past midnight and so we were able to get to the hotel at 3am, there was no one at the front desk anymore but they made sure that i could get the room key by emailing me a picture of the room key left at the desk with a note and found it there when we arrived. We were 5 so the 3 double beds in the family room were more than enough for us. There is a big flat screen TV and a mini ref, cabinets, enough power outlets for our gadgets, a hair dryer, hot and cold water in both sink and shower, and a bath tub. Liquid soap and shampoo in dispensers were also available.
Our flight home was at 10 pm but we had a tour of Jiufen, Shifen, Yehliu early that day, so we checked out early of the hotel and the female staff allowed us to leave all our luggages behind and be picked up later that night. The male staff (owner?) also was very helpful in getting us transpo to the airport upon checking out. Despite not being able to speak much English, he just used a translator in his phone to communicate with us. Overall, a great experience in this hotel, that is very near the Taipei Main Station, Ximending area, department stores, restaurants. Also just beside the hotel is a 7-11 store.
The old ladies cleaning the room daily were both very nice. Hotel looks dated and may want some facelifting done.
Very impolite of the reception lady, don’t clean up the room and keep push you out on the last day even the time yet up.
Very old facility and seems not clean enough, my fd got foot disease after wearing their slippers.
The only point to get is quite near Taipei central station.
The hotel building is very old and the reception reminded me of the 70s.
The lift is small and the door closes very fast. Watch out if you need to load many luggages and bags.
The bedroom was old but very CLEAN. The hallway was a little dark and creepy.
The hotel has a good location as it is near to Taipei station and Ximending. Food and transportation will not be a problem.
I love the fact that they clean our room every day even if we don’t request them too. They change the towels as well. We also have our own water dispenser in our room so we can make our own coffee/ tea inside. We can just utilize it than spend money for mineral water every day. The bathroom is wide enough too, with tub so that's another great thing. but the aircon in the hotel is centralized, though there is somewhat a control button for it, they didnt put any directions or english translation how we can use it. its very hot and humid when we went there, but we cant decrease the temperature of our aircon.
Their staff also tries their best to convey what they want to say to us, though we know they are native Chinese speakers and that there don’t speak in english well, still the effort is A+++
We stayed at a room with 4 beds (good for 6 people). Location is ideal - close to everything. There are many small shops and restaurants near the hotel. You can't beat it.
The room has no windows. That's okay. But it's not clean - saw a few bugs walking around in the bathroom and on one of our beds. The bathroom and the towels looked dirty.
We booked this hotel not because it's cheap. There are many hotels in that area. But all other hotels that we looked at did not have rooms. I would say "Stay away if you can."
