We booked accommodation at the Mas San Antoine after recommendation from a friend who stays there from time to time. We were apprehensive only because it was our first trip to the South of France with our 5 year old daughter, but I have to say our concerns were unfounded! The owners made us completely welcome throughout our stay as did other guests which included returning visitors and new stays...we all had a great time.
Casa Dora is big enough for 4 people - double bedroom and a twin room - and its well equipped probably more so than we would have expected, e.g. dvd player, cd player and ipod dock speaker. it was great. Lovely patio area and our own gas barbecue (as do other properties).
Lovely clean pool perfect for my 5 year old, and amazing, well kept gardens with play areas and games for both young and old.
The Mas provided for everything...we had a day out to the beach one day which we were well equipped for - buckets, spades, parasol, cool box - all provided courteously!
The location is really good and a great base for people passing through or from further afield. Just outside Avignon in the town of Rognonas, which is perfect for visiting all attractions in The Luberon within 30-40 minutes drive, and the coast is just over an hour. We had some good days out, again helped by recommendation of the owners and other guests.
We're already trying to work out when we can return next year!
My family and I had a wonderful time staying at the main house (Mas). We had plenty of space with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, a living room, a greatly equipped and fully functional kitchen, a washing machine, and a really beautiful outdoor dining and lounging area. The grounds were well maintained, with beautiful gardens and interesting features, the children had a blast in the pool, and the other guests were very nice. The hosts were welcoming and available, and they provided a pizza night that was so much fun. We couldn't have asked for a better location. We had an easy drive to a lot of interesting cities and attractions in the area. We were a short walk away from fresh croissants in the morning. We were very pleased and would love to go back.
this is one of the bests places we have stayed. K1 and K2 are the sweetest most helpful people and we needed lots of help. They helped us with a doctor, with car trouble and with setting our GPS. The bite was comfortable with plenty of room for 4 of us. With a full kitchen and a living area, we were able to have our breakfasts and, as it turned out, lunch and dinner on our patio or in the kitchen. It was quiet and away from all the Avignon traffic while still close enough to get what we needed. I would recommend this place to anyone.
This was a much needed last stop before leaving France after a month of traveling the country. We made the decision to travel to France last minute with little time to learn the language with gusto. After three weeks of struggling with our poor French to come upon Mas Saint Antoine and Keryn and Kerrin was the beginning of our relaxation! K1 and K2 gave us the poolside suite and we felt like the gorgeous pool and gardens were our very own. We loved our visit and most evening if you wanted to share your daily adventures with other guests while bobbing in the pool you could. What is nice about the Mas was if you wanted to be left alone in your own solitude you could or you could interact with others...it is YOUR choice. The Mas is in an ideal location to explore Avignon and surrounding Provence. If you are lucky enough to visit the Mas in the summer you are in for a treat with the weekly homemade pizza party. We can't say enough about this place and K1 & K2 who made our stay memorable. We hope to be back with our extended family in the near future. PS: Kerrin and Keryn we apologize for this very late review but we just finally got ourselves settled in our new home a week ago. It's been a long journey.....
We visited the Mas in April 2012 on a 3 week France trip. It's a lovely place, lush vegetation in a beautiful garden. We had the ground floor two-bedroom cottage with our own terrace. Spotlessly clean, nice layout, lots of guidebooks on hand if you are making this area central to visiting the region. Close to beautiful Avignon, Arles, Isles sur La Sorgue for the Sunday antique market, St. Remy en Provence and Camargue region. Keryn and Kerrin wonderful hosts with a wealth of information about their own little town and the surrounding area.
