I spent a couple days with my family at Les 3 Baudets and wish we had stayed longer. The setting is beautiful in the small village of Issor and this place has lots of charm and character. It's hard to find such a charming place in such a rural setting with amenities like a pool. We sat up late one night admiring the stars given how quiet this place is. The kids loved swimming in the pool surrounded by a garden and fields. Evelyn and Bruno are very kind and accommodating, and they've very tastefully set up what used to be a centuries-old farmhouse. We had a large group dinner one night and the dinner was wonderful and they took care of all the diverse dietary needs. I wish we had stayed longer and I look forward to going back again. Thanks much for a great stay!
We stayed with 4 people (2 adults and 2 kids (9-10)) for one week in Les 3 Baudets.
- breakfast: everyday enough choice to start the day (croissant, home-made yoghurt, musli, bread, home-made jam, etc.). Maybe an egg now and then would have been fine, although I never asked for it
- dinner: if wanted, you have the possibility to eat together with the other guests. For 25euro you get a very good meal, including starter, main course, cheese and dessert. For the kids there was everyday an adapted menu. We apprecited the food very much.
- house: clean and spatious room, enough towels, enough storage place, good beds. The garden and pool are excellent. Breakfast/dinner room very spatious. I like the long-table concept, where all guests eat together.
- owners: Evelyne and Bruno are always available when needed. Very friendly and always giving advice about things to do, etc. Very much appreciated.
Highly recommanded B&B.
Les 3 Baudets offers serenity and natural beauty and was our family's favorite place to stay on our trip to France/Spain. (For me - I enjoyed Les 3 Baudets more than any other accommodations I have ever been to.) Evelyne and Bruno offered great tips for day adventures and were very hospitable hosts in all ways. The four of us loved the breakfasts and enjoyed the dinner and meeting the other guests. Our youngest loved the bunny, guinea pig and cat. He really enjoyed the pool as well. We felt at home. I think the pictures I add will likely speak more to my appreciation of this place than my words.
Les Trois Baudets is a small, comfortable and congenial B & B conveniently located near one of the major passes through the Pyrenees to Spain (via the Somport tunnel). We stayed in an upper level room (2nd floor for those in the US), which was light (through a skylight) and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. The shower, sink and separate toilet room are compact, and are nothing fancy. The area around Les Trois Baudets is very quiet, although there is some noise between rooms. All the guests when we were there (people touring on motorcycles and on bikes) were early to bed so it was no issue. The grounds are lovely, with a spacious pool with lounge furniture and umbrellas. We ate dinner there 2 of our 3 nights. Seating was family style which was great fun, and the food was generous and delicious. The hosts were very friendly and helpful in recommending places to visit and the restaurant La Part des Anges in Oloron-St.-Marie for an excellent dinner. Les Trois Baudets is a very reasonably priced B & B in a beautiful location convenient to the Pyrenees.
My partner and I had a wonderful stay here, the hosts are so welcoming and make an effort to cater to your needs. Our room was simple, clean, and comfortable, and not having a TV was such a bonus. It felt like a real retreat into nature from London. The surrounding area is absolutely beautiful, and the pool is so refreshing and well kept. Theres a lovely hammock under a tree and plenty of little tables scattered about so that you can have a picnic lunch or relax in the sunshine. I can't recommend it enough, hopefully we'll return at some point in the near future.
