Our room was excellent and very clean, Lorraine on reception was extremely kind and helpful. I would particularly recommend this guest house to anyone who needs to be within reach of the Bristol Children's Hospital. Free on site parking is very useful too.

I have stayed here a couple of years ago. On this trip work booked me in to another hotel locally, which was well below par. I called Clifton House and the receptionist was immensely helpful and offered me a king room at a great deal and I could move straight across. She was extremely helpful and friendly, as were all the staff during my stay. I had some issues with the heating in my room and spoke to reception. In minutes the radiators were being checked and, as the cause was not apparent, I was given a heater for my room, which solved the problem. The next day when i returned after work, the heating was fixed, room warm and heater left for me in case I wanted extra heat. Great service!

Good reliable breakfast each morning and nice to have a 'special' offered. Excellent value for money and fab location for Whiteladies. Free parking a huge bonus too.

The only thing I would suggest is that the larger rooms have desks/large tables so that professionals can work. There is plenty of space in the rooms for this. Then it would be perfect!

We booked this hotel as it was not far from the Bulrush restaurant where we had reserved a table for that evening but when we arrived at the hotel we were a bit apprehensive as the outside and front door area looked a bit shabby. However once inside we were warmly greeted by Lorraine and then shown to our room which exceeded our expectations. The hotel is very convenient for Clifton village and the town centre. Parking is on site and we were able to leave our car on the premises for a few hours after we had checked out. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. The staff are very friendly and Lorraine goes the extra mile to make sure there are no problems. She is a real asset to the business and we would definitely stay there again.

I've stayed here around five times, as a single traveler and as couple. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. I arrived very late, as planned, but my key and my room were waiting for me. I'd been upgraded from a single to a double and this was a lovely surprise. Nothing was too much trouble and the free parking, as always, was a real help, especially as I was staying two nights. I could enjoy the delights of Bristol knowing my room would be very clean and warm and I could choose from a light to a full breakfast or anything in between! I'll definitely be back...
