We booked this as a place to stay en route to the South of France and had no great expectations but it was lovely. The lady who greeted us could not have been friendlier or more helpful and she recommended a wonderful local restaurant and rang to book us in. She was very concerned when she showed us to our room because there were some dead flies on the windowsill and absolutely insisted on sweeping them up straight away, even though we weren't concerned. The room was spotless, with a lovely, comfortable bed and luxurious duvet, plus a gorgeous view over the vines growing outside. We could have done a free champagne tour and tasting the next morning but unfortunately we had to leave. We are planning to go back, though, as it was such a lovely place. If you are thinking of staying here, I would highly recommend eating at Attis in nearby Chenay.

Stayed at the Clos during the month of August. The staff and owner are very friendly and helpful.
The duplex rooms facing the vineyard are large and have all amenities.
The fridge in the room has a selection of the local wines in case you missed the morning's wine tasting session.

We spent a relaxing couple of nights on our way back from the Alps in this charming 'chambre d'hote'-style property. Our duplex 'loft-style' room was spacious, light and spotless with views across the vineyards. The beds and bedding were the most comfortable of our whole holiday and the staff were friendly and helpful, recommending convenient places to park and eat in Reims when we arrived late in the afternoon. Continental-style breakfast was fresh and well-presented. It was a peaceful and convenient location a short drive from the outskirts of Reims - a city which we will definitely visit again - the village of Saint-Thierry itself was rural and picturesque. We especially enjoyed our Lemaire champagne tour and tasting which was made all the easier being conducted in impeccable English and with no pressure at all to buy. We couldn't not of course, it was so delicious! We'd not hesitate to recommend Le Clos du Mont d'Hor and would happily stay again. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay so pleasant.

Room Tip: Room overlooking vineyards, stairs to mezzanine level beds were steep but fine for our teenagers

This is the third time we have stayed here for a night en-route to the south of France. The people as so welcoming and friendly, even although they had just finished harvesting the grapes and must all have been very tired. In the past we have brought 'picnic' food to have in our room with some of their own champagne. This year we were earlier so went to the restaurant they recommended, Mets Envies in Hermonville, and the food was extremely good. Then went back to the room and had the champagne!

This time we stayed in the Japanese room which was lovely with views of the vineyard. Breakfast is always nice and relaxing.

Again bought some of their fantastic champagne to take home with us.

We booked this place for one night to break up our journey from Calais to Colmar. We are a couple with a toddler so wanted something to get some sleep and have a break from the car.

It was a perfect location. We knew that evening meals options were limited so had a meal in Reims before heading to the B&B to check in. There is plenty of parking and we had only just got out of the car before being met by Selene/Celina. She was so friendly and welcoming.

We were booked in a downstairs twin room with a small garden which was lovely but we were upgraded to a duplex upstairs with a large bed downstairs and twin beds upstairs. We had plenty of room and the bed was super comfy. This room also had a bath and shower.

The room had a beautiful view of the vineyards. There was a small fridge with champagne to buy if you wanted it.

The breakfast was great - lovely bread, pastries and good coffee. Also juice, cereal, yoghurt, cheese, meat, fruit etc available.

The next morning we had a tour of the champagne production area which was great and free. We also had some tastings and there was absolutely no pressure to buy. Nevertheless, we came away with a few bottles of their great champagne.

We will definitely return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.
