We picked this B&B for the pretty gardens and pool as well as the modern and contemporary rooms at a good price as well as it's proximity to Uzes and Nimes. We stayed for three nights and had the room called Iphigenie which was in a quiet position round the back of the main house with its own deck with seating and view of trees. There was plenty of parking on site and a short walk to our room. We were about a five to ten minute car journey to the centre of Uzes where there is a big choice of restaurants and bars in a beautiful and very historic town. We were met by the owner who spoke fair English and showed us round. Breakfast was served between 8.30and 10am which was nice and flexible and made for a relaxing stay. We came back each afternoon to sit by the pool in the pretty gardens. We didn't realise there was a fridge in the pool house that guests could use until the last day which was a bit of a shame. "Picnicking" in your room was forbidden too. Also, the rooms weren't really serviced each day as you would assume they would be. The first day our cup was washed up and the rubbish taken but the next two days only the rubbish bin emptied. The bed wasn't re-made which I would have expected. Also, it would have been handy for overseas visitors to be offered use of a beach/pool towel (maybe for a small returnable deposit) as we had to use one of the white room towels. Breakfast was served on the covered terrace overlooking the pool with fresh coffee, teas, freshly squeezed juices, lovely croissants and different breads each day as well as home made jams. There was also a good continental meat selection. We were able to chat to the other guests too which was nice. All in all a lovely stay and we would recommend Le Mas to other people if you want a reasonably priced, pretty house and gardens with pool close to Uzes.
The Mas is located just outside of Uzès. The room we had was largely spaced and very well maintained. It had a king size bed, a shower and a bath tub, as well as a well functioning airco. The Mas has a large heated swimming pool and is very quiet. Breakfast on the terrace is excellent and offers a choice of fruit juices, cereals, bread, meat, cheese and fresh fruits. Marmelades, cakes and yoghourt are home made. The owners are very friendly and very helpful in recommending visits and restaurants in the surroundings.
It was a great stay. Room very comfortable and well decorated. The whole house has been renovated. Ample parking and beautiful garden. Breakfast was amazing with local products. The couple who run the place are very polite. A really nice experience.
The room was recently remodeled and very nicely done. The location is a few miles from Uzes, so you need a car. It is a little hard to find - it is marked by a discreet plaque on the wall, but once located the first time, it is easy enough to get to. The breakfast was fine.
Beautiful. Very "Provence" - with wonderful modern rooms and baths. Only spent one night because we moved around, but wish we would have spent our entire time at this place. The bath was exceptionally modern and spa-like. Bed was a big king with fluffy, down comforter. Great space. Great storage. Could have easily been in a suite at a high end hotel. Yet, the surroundings are pure Provence.
