The staff is friendly and helpful. The room is nice and clean. No separate bathroom. Breakfast is basic but very good. The hotel is near Alexanderplatz. It's near a busy street but you won't notice. A good hotel for a cheap price.

Couple of days away with the family to visit the Christmas markets. Just needed a place to crash at night.
Ibis budget Alexanderplatz suited what we needed perfectly and it was reasonably cheap. We are not expensive hotel folk at all.
From Alexanderplatz station the hotel was a 10 min walk, easy to find, right next to the mercedes bank. There are hotels closer but far more expensive.
The hotel itself was as advertised. Having a 5 year old with us, he had a bunk bed above ours which he loved. Room was clean and tidy. Bed was a little on the hard side and we had to ask for extra pillows and towels but nothing out of the ordinary. Wasn't too keen on the shower and the sink being right in the room. Possibly could have saved room having a proper shower room but who am I to judge. Little to no privacy for a shower but you know this when booking as it's in the pictures. Shower cubical is ample size and decent, detaches from the wall as well. Toilet is of course separate just incase folk were wondering haha
Enough space to put luggage, you will be living out if your suitcase though but who stays in these hotels for more than a couple nights?!!
We did pay for breakfast but being honest it's not really worth it the money. The budget extends to here as well. Short walk will see you in a coffee shop with better options for less money but it's convenient in the end.
Overall though you get what you pay for and if you stay somewhere with budget in the title that's exactly what you get. Nice enough place, convenient, clean, tidy and slept fine. What more can you ask for ......

The is the cheapest Ibis/Accor near Alexanderplatz and the best value for money, without compromising on cleanliness or basic amenities or breakfast. It's ideal for a cheap stay; if you want more quality there are equally predictable Accor offerings in the form of Mercure and Ibis Styles nearby at higher prices.

Room temperature was OK (windows firmly closed; it was around 5 C outdoors) but fiddling with the heating/cooling controls didn't seem to do anything to change the temperature so this might be an issue if the room temperature is too hot or too cold when you arrive. Shower temperature easy to change with Grohe tap, strong water flow even on top floor.

Back to the point: Very clean rooms, typical Ibis shower cubicles (with shower gel/shampoo/soap), hardish bed. Buffet breakfast € 7.50 extra. Bread, ham, cheese, boiled eggs, yoghurt, real coffee, diluted juice, cereal, fruit, not bad but not Berlin's best either. Free wifi. No key or key card but a 6-digit key code to get into your room (they give it to you on paper so you don't have to remember it) - also valid for the hotel door if the 24 hour porter's gone off for a toilet break in the middle of the night. Didn't try the TV.

Easy 10 minute walk from Alexanderplatz, not much farther from Hachesche Höfe or Museum Island. Plenty of transport connections - don't forget to download the BVG app and buy all your local transport tickets online.

There's a brand new [opened 5 December 2019] vegan Vietnamese restaurant next door - not sure this is the right cuisine in the right location to survive long term but for the next few months at least it gives you a real-restaurant-next-door option which was lacking on my earlier visits. Open until 2300 every evening, also sells wine and beer (a bit more variety than from the hotel's fridge next to reception). Cash only at least in their opening period.

I'll be back in a few years (after having visited a couple of other hotels in Berlin in the meantime .... I don't always want the cheapest).

Stayed four nights with my partner . Room was clean , the bed was a bit too hard and pillow was uncomfortable. Otherwise breakfast was satisfactory , good WiFi for free, the staff were friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is very good.
