A pleasant hotel in a great location on a quiet street. The room was a little dark but spacious. Breakfast was great. Bar/restaurant food was excellent. A warm, clean , pleasant and friendly stay. Only complaint really was lack of coffee making facilities in the room.
The standart room is very dark without normal windows and without options to turn on necessary light. The only one option of light is the night lights near bead. Bead squeals. Walls are with visible damages and calls for renovation. Room pictures in hotel homepage doesn’t match to real life. Hotel elevator is toooooo slow for nowadays.
I expected a 4 star hotel but gets a 1...max 2 star hotel
The room was dirty - the internet connection doesn’t work for guests, and can see back in August 2018 another guest have write that.
The last day the employer try to rip me of for more that it cost when you book and pay on the internet.
I would recommend you to stay away.
We stayed at your hotel from the 03\12\18 until 05/12/18.
My complaint is with the service we received. My girlfriend is a type 1 diabetic. This means she has to inject insulin to keep her sugar levels from going too high. Or eat sugar to stop her sugars levels from going too low. Both are very dangerous and life threatening. We prepare as best as we can for both. The night before we stocked up on sugar and cola. Her sugar levels dropped dangerously low during the night. She ate the sugar snacks and drank the cola we had in our room.
Unfortunately her sugar levels did not improve. Before they dropped lower she went to the 24\7 front desk (00:30am). She explained to the man at the desk her situation and asked if she could have some sugar. The small sachets of sugar used for coffee/tea would have been enough. Or she could have had any snack or drink containing sugar. The man refused to help simply saying no. She continued to explain it's an emergency and that she would need an ambulance in the next 30 minutes if he did not help. He just said no. She returned to the room very upset. Once I managed to calm her down we luckily found a shop nearby and bought a drink with sugar.
When her sugars have dropped at other hotels in past they've always helped. I don't understand why it was such a problem at this one? If there had not have been a shop across the road their staff would have been happy to see my girlfriend go into a coma or possibly worse.
I'm very disappointed.
The hotel has two things that are worth: the location and the breakfast. Location is minutes away from both Nollendorfplatz and Wittenbergplatz therefore easy enough to get to the main bits of the city (and beyond). The area has a good selection of cafes and restaurants. Breakfast was substantial, good selection of hot and cold food, and sweet and savoury. But that was mainly it.
We asked for a room on the main street, I received an email right away saying my request was taken on board. Clearly not. The room had a view on the back parking lot plus it was next to the elevator hence quite noisy. The room in itself was not too bad, but be careful when you shower as it's not designed to keep water in (after every shower there was a pool of water on the floor). The safe stopped working after two days and had to be fixed but the repair man.
The staff, apart from one woman who was really nice and helpful and smiley, was pretty bad. Most of them seemed they could not be bothered working. Unlikely to have a hello, a how are you or any attempt to a conversation.
The reception in itself was not what a hotel reception should be. It was more like getting into a car park rather than a hotel.
Overall i would say it was a 7 out of 10. But nothing more than that
