My sister and I stayed here for the wine battle, we were surprise to find a vacancy and at a very reasonable price. We thought the mother & son were very accommodating even though English was limited. They even refrigerated some picnic goods for us. The room was tidy and comfortable, it included a small bathroom, two beds and a dresser like any other hotel you are bound to find in Europe at this price if bit more. Wifi worked well in our room, parking on street available, no breakfast, good location. Would stay again.
We were in Haro for the Batalla del Vino 2013 and were prepared to sleep in our rented car (the city looked fully booked in the search engines). We were walking around and saw the sign for this place right across the fiesta, went in and were surprised to find out they had room and at a low price in a high season (40€ a night for doubleroom).
The place was pleasant and clean, and the room had a bathroom with shower. The mother and son that managed the place were really friendly (though only in spanish!) and helped us with everything we asked. Free wifi was a bonus.
One warning: the hostal is right next to the plaza they have the fiesta. So if you are in town for that, prepare to stay up all night long, or buy earplugs in advance!
