We have just returned from a 5 night stay in this lovely hotel. The 1960’s decor is fantastic and the colours create a calm stylish atmosphere. All of the staff are professional, helpful and friendly.
Our room had a park view but we had a view of the sea as well as Vesuvius and the amazing botanical garden. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. We loved the tiles.
The breakfast was great too, plenty of choice and very good service.
As the weather was so good for October, the private beach and pool were still open, so this was a bonus.
We would definitely return.

We had heard about this hotel from a friend who stayed there, and we were pleasantly surprised at the excellence of all of the staff and property. While we took day trips to various other places, we also enjoyed the beach, pool, large patio and gardens at the hotel.
Federica was very helpful in booking our daily trips and dinner reservations, and was always making sure we were happy with our stay. Our morning breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and we were greeted daily with a beautifully dressed man with a strong and friendly “Bon Giorno” and then we were seated at the balcony overlooking the harbor. What a gorgeous view we had. The food waiter we saw frequently was also very professional and friendly. He worked breakfast, lunch by the beach and also at the gourmet dinner. We were fascinated with the decor and history of the Gio Ponti architecture and design of the hotel.
We can’t wait to come back one day. Sorrento was the perfect city to stay at, and our hotel was a dream.

We came back to Sorrento after 14 years and are pleased that we did.
We chose this hotel because of its architectural attributes as well as its recommendations from other visitors.
The interiors are stunning examples of sixties styling, down to every last detail.
The theme is blue and white, a reflection of the colour of the Tyrrhenian Sea in full sunlight. The floor of each of its rooms is reputedly tiled differently, but all blue and white. The furniture is all designed by the architect as are the lights and bed heads.
That’s the building, and it’s matched by the quality of the hotel.
The rooms are spacious and well air-conditioned. The gardens are lush and mature offering walks and seating areas with fantastic views of the bay of Naples and Vesuvius.
The public areas are airy and roomy, and for swimmers there is a choice of pool or beach.
Food and drinks are not inexpensive but service is five star friendly and efficient.
This is not a budget hotel but enjoy if you can.

Our family recently stayed here in August 2019. We had a mixed experience. The positive attributes were:
-The views from the hotel are truly spectacular. We greatly enjoyed having breakfast each morning overlooking the sea
-The hotel manager Andrea Modesti is a true gentlemen and worked very hard to ensure our needs and requests were met and we are very grateful to him
-The hotel shuttle bus is efficient and we were able to get to and back from Sorrento without any issues
Our main issue with the property is that it is clearly showing its age. The rooms have a strong 1970s feel, the elevators are slow, and the pool needs a refurbishment. This property will appeal to those interested in a “retro” experience.

Questions & answers about the pool

Answer from varunkrgoel

I was there in December 2019, and the beach was closed because of weather issue. So maybe the hotel is correct in stating that they can’t give assurances. But apart from the beach, the view, staff and proximity to the main square makes this a great hotel to stay in. The staff treats you like god.
