Unfortunately our underwear was taken from our room. The owner has stated that housekeeping has tossed it out. The owner apologised, but has not compensated our loss. We've been waiting for a month to hear from her, but have not heard anything.
Our own insurance company has asked us to report theft, but we already left Italy.

We spent 4 fantastic nights here in Rome. The location of the hotel is fantastic, just a short walk to reams of excellent bars and restaurants. We were also able to walk to all the keys areas within around 15-35 minutes, e.g Vatican City, colloseum, pantheon, Trevi. The room itself was pristine, very clean and fresh with a really comfortable bed. We received an excellent welcome and really good communication leading up to our stay, including accommodating a flexible check in for us. Would highly recommend this accommodation.

Location, comfort and Silvina

The location is in the quiet area of Trastevere, a few steps across the Main Street to the slightly more quaint, but much busier, area of shops, restaurants and cocktail bars. We opted to eat all meals on our side of Trastevere and had drinks in the evening on the touristy but very beautiful side. There are many restaurants and a few groceries within a few blocks of the affitacamere. I give the location 5 stars.

The room I give 4 stars, because we had lumpy pillows. The bed was so comfortable, a rarity in Italy outside of the more expensive hotels. The bedding was nice and the room was spotlessly clean. The bathroom was large and modern. There wasn’t much street noise so I presume the windows are double glazed. Both our bedroom and bathroom had windows and we were able to enjoy fresh air. We had a last minute change of plans and were given a room across from reception. I was concerned about noise but, as there are so few rooms, there was no noise. We had a teapot, a nespresso and a fridge, all we needed to get started in the mornings. There are two or three flights of stairs to the affitacamere, which is disclosed. This is no problem for anyone of average fitness. I wish the checkout time was 11:00 rather than 10:00. It’s difficult to get out of a room by 10:00 while on vacation. But on the flip side, our room was available when we arrived around 1:00 PM.

L’Insalada Rocca, Pizzeria Ai Marmi and Dan Enzo were all good, especially Da Enzo and the pizzeria was a scene. Just order your pizza a a mezzo liter of wine from a scowling waiter and watch the show.

The real star of the show was Silvina. She may be the manager. We received such a warm welcome from her. We felt immediately at home. Go wherever she tells you to go, to dine or to sightsee. Thank you Silvina! 10 STARS TO Silvina! Grazie Mille!
