We needed a B&B close to Termini rail station and this one is about 10 mins walk. When we buzzed the guy let us in but offered no help with the luggage which was a bit odd, and then rattled through the information on restaurants etc far too quickly and I thought this rather rude. Our room, the red room, was spacious and very clean and had a bathroom that was fine. The owners made quite a lot of noise around 7am setting up breakfast in the breakfast room and the items on offer were fine but there was no-one on hand to attend to guests, and the water for our tea was only lukewarm as it had been standing for 2 hours or so. I thought this was very disappointing given that this was not the cheapest B&B I have stayed in Rome. There are better options with more personal service, but this place is OK if you are only staying one night and need to be near to the station.
We stayed here as three couples which meant we had the place to ourselves other than the lovely owners who were very friendly and really look after us all. We had the red room and it was clean and well laid out, a very comfortable bed with great en-suite. The perfect location as a base we walk to everything we wanted to see. The breakfast was plentiful and really set us up for the day.Really enjoyed our stay.
Lovely B&B, room we had was lovely (the blue room), it was good value for money, breakfasts were basic enough but they will happily make you eggs if you like in the morning, otherwise you can pick from croissants, yogurt, toast etc., the hosts are not around all the time but if you need them they're usually just a knock on the door away, for a B&B we thought it was a lovely place, would recommend!
Our stay at B&B Da Carlotta could not have been more wonderful. While we only stayed one night, if we were to return to Rome we would definitely return and stay here. To start, we were allocated the red room, which was spacious, super clean, charming and best of all, well equipped. The amenities in the room were fantastic. Even make up wipes are provided!!! We were even offered adapters for our electronics.
The b&b is on the third floor, so it is nice the quiet from any street noise, but easily accessible using the lift or stairs. Breakfast was generous and delicious, with a variety of options. The location is absolutely perfect, walking distance to the Colosseum, Trevi fountain, etc.
Thank you Carlotta and Francesco for your superb service, it was like a slice of home in the middle of Rome. Until we meet again, ciao.
This was a 10 min walk from Termini, in the 3rd floor of an old block of apartments. There were 4 rooms, all decorated in different colours, with handpainted furniture. It was very creative and attractive. We had the blue suite, a beautiful bedroom and elegant bathroom with a separate sitting room, all air conditioned.
I have a gluten free diet and it was well catered for, with an abundance of fresh, ripe fruit.
This young couple set the highest standard for a B&B or hotel and altho the other 3 we stayed at were very good, this was our favourite.
We had not booked the Museo Villa Borghese in advance, and it was the one place I wanted to re visit. Carlotta kept trying for a cancellation for us and was successful! Now that's hard to beat!
I wish them all the best and hope they can maintain this very excellent standard.
