We booked 4 nights at booking.com and wrote in the booking process that we will arrive between 8 and 9 pm. When we arrive there at 9 pm nobody was there and we had to call the landlord several times. When he finally answered his phone he was really unfriendly and could not speak English. He just said that we are too late and we can call tomorrow. So we ended up paying (and finding) another hotel for the night.

The next day he did not answer his phone until 12 am and when we finally got our room we had to pay full price and there was no excuse.

We realized then that it is the same phone number and hotel than THE VATICANO WORLD HOSTEL, he just renamed the place because of very bad Reputation - so watch out he is a SCAMMER!!!

The room was poor, no room service and we did not see the landlord again. He is never there, you always have to call and wait for him.

All in all it is way too expensive, even when you can sleep there all nights you have booked and paid for!

Visited here for 3 nights and it has been absolutely wonderful. Location is brill, so close to Vatican and about a 20 minute walk to the Trevi fountain, half an hour to colosseum etc but less than 10 minutes from a tube station meaning everything is accessible. Rooms are air conditioned, lovely and clean and towels are replaced every day. Perfect. Tea and coffee provided too and a little fridge in our room which was great. The host text a few days before arrival to get flight details and Ricardo met us who was an absolute delight. To top off a brilliant stay we were offered a complimentary late checkout as our flight wasn’t until 10pm. With 32 degree heat all day it was perfect to come back and change before heading to the airport. I would 100 percent recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit Rome, it is also only a 5 minute walk to the river and there are loads of wonderful restaurants nearby.

We notified the hotel when were to arrive, as requested, but when we did arrive only the cleaning lady was there. Luckily she was able to check us in. The room was comfortable, as was the bed, but suitcase space was lacking and there were no drawers, only a wardrobe. The room had a good coffee maker, and we received more pods when we requested them. The room was quiet when all windows were shut. AC worked fine. Excellent location - away from the tourist crush, but still close to things.
The bathroom, on the other hand, was a mess. The folding shower screen was stiff, no caddy in the shower, the toilet cistern took an age to refill, the toilet seat was loose, and on our last morning there, there was no hot water. As there is very often no one on site, problems are not dealt with immediately. When we notified the owners of the hot water issue, we didn’t receive a response for almost 2 hours, by which time we’d left.

Stayed here last week for 2 nights. Perfect location , round the corner from the Vatican. Loads of restaurants nearby. Everything is within walking distance . Room was lovely and clean. The bed was very comfy and we even had English television.Ricardo ( the owner) was excellent. He texted me the day before we arrived to arrange meeting us. . If we return to Rome we will definitely stay here again. Definitely give this hotel a 5 star rating.

We stayed here for 4 nights in the luxury double room
Our thoughts:
- NO SERVICE. The rooms are already very hard to find so when you standing outside the door for 30minutes waiting for someone to open with no number it's not acceptable
- We were served by Italian speaking only cleaner. She had to call her boss to come from another location to check us in
- We needed more towels but reception was unattended during our whole stay - so expect NO STAFF and NO SERVICE
- Room is quite small so if your staying here as a couple get ready for a tight squeeze
- Bed and pillows super hard and uncomfortable! We tossed constantly throughout the evening and woke up with neck and head pain
- Yes, it looked clean! Pull off the sheets to the mattress protector and there were brown stains!

I would not recommend! Go somewhere with service at least! Would make a huge difference!!
