I stayed in a private single room for one night. The room was small and simple, but with all I needed (chair, table, wardrobe, private bathroom with shower, wifi). Everything was very clean (bathroom, bed sheets, floor), so I have nothing to complain about.
Note that they do not provide towels and soap, but you can buy soap at a vending machine in the hall. For 3 euros you can have continental breakfast.
The staff was nice and welcoming. They asked for a 5 euros deposit for the magnetic key, which they gave me back when I checked out.
Firstly, the good: Great location near the train/bus stations and downtown Trento. Nice and comfortable room with an ensuite bathroom and window with a view. Well worth the price of the private room I booked for a promotional price. Secondly, the not-so-good: The front reception area was closed more than it was open, so I feel lucky that I got to check in during their posted hours. The woman who checked me in seemed irritated that I had trouble following her very rapid Italian, and I felt more processed than welcomed. The elevator didn't work when I was there, so climbing up four flights of stairs was not ideal. I was staying there with a school group of young teens, so it was very noisy in the early evening, but they were very quiet at night, so I slept well. Their excuse for charging for luggage storage is lame, and they blame it on using an outside vendor. They could easily offer this as a free service, but choose not to. Breakfast for 3 euro was a good value, with plenty of coffee available by machine.
This hostel met all the basic requirements a hostel should--friendly staff, nice central location, and good price. The view from my room was amazing. I knock a point only because not having A/C in the middle of summer made it a little uncomfortable sometimes.
I was there with my family during our bicycle tour.
Hostel is centrally located, easy to reach.
Staff is very welcoming, nice and helpful.
Our room was spacious and confortable, with ensuite bathroom.
No dinner offered.
Breakfast is extra and is very poor quality: we suggest to have it outside.
The hostel was allright. Not highend. The service was good. There was an extra bed in the allready six bed bedroom, this was a fault, as it becomes really cramped. Matrasses where good!
Wifi is not in the rooms, but only on a certain spot near the reception. Which is actualy fun, a bench with coloured seats on it. Breaky is high priced but available, maybe better to go to the lovely pasticceria just five minutes walking. Breakfast serves crepes though. I think you can't cook dinner in this hostel, but as I eat out all the time I did not miss this.
A luggageroom is available, also for bicycles.
Big bonus is you get a nice card on check-in with free or reduced entries to museums and stuff, and... free public transport.
