Arriving by water taxi right to the hotel was perfect!
Great location only 10-15 mins from Piazza San Marco.
Breakfast is served in the most amazing room.
The bar is delightful— a great place for a nightcap!
The hotel is a large old palazzo. Some areas are very grand. But it lacks warmth and in great need of repair. In the bedroom we were not able to action the heating from the room. We had to instruct reception when we would like it turned on, at which point very very hot air blows in. After a few minutes, it becomes unbearably hot and we needed to call downstairs and ask them to turn it off. None of this was explained when we arrived.
So nights had to be cold (february 2020)... Also there was a techno concert outside our bedroom windows (it was carnaval) but had we been told of this proximity, we would not have stayed there and prepaid !
Under these circumstances, a gesture from the hotel would have made sure we returned. That was not the case.
Also a 5 star hotel should provide a water bottle in the room at night and a complementary coffee/tea machine.
The location is good and on the canal.
But unfortunately, we will not come back.
I have previously stayed in 3 other five star hotels in Venice and I have to say, this is now my favourite due to its location, charm & authenticity of a palazzo and lovely staff.
Spent 3 nights early February, celebrating my husbands birthday (which I had informed the hotel about). We were kindly upgraded to a junior suite on 3rd floor overlooking campo so very bright with side view to Grand Canale, felt very spoilt. Room was comfortable, spacious and bright, room 314.
First night we had very relaxed drinks in the bar, excellent dinner in small hotel restaurant. Food was delicious, only gripe, wine was very pricy.
Breakfast (included in room rate), was a decent spread with lots of choices including a juicer that you could use to concoct your own mix from the various fresh fruit choices on offer. Staff again were excellent in particular Stefano who was so charming and welcoming making us his best cappuccinos every morning!
One night we took recommendation from concierge for dinner, wanting an authentic, reasonably priced local restaurant, close walking distance. He made the reservation for us, we were not disappointed! From previous experience we have learnt to avoid all the hotel concierge's recommendations, so this was quite an exception, and happy we took it!
Location is fabulous. Even though you are on the main thoroughfare from Roma to San Marco, it feels quiet enough and great to have the Tragetto to cross over to the Rialto, very convenient!
Booking out of season we got a great deal but would happily pay more another time as this now is my favourite hotel in Venice!
I stayed here for 3 nights (which was extended to 5 courtesy of storm Ciara) in February.
The first thing that struck me on check-in was how welcoming and friendly the staff were. This was especially true on my first night when a knee injury had flared up and I needed some ice and they kindly bought it to my room. The next day, on arriving back to the hotel and still limping - they spotted me arriving and offered to do the same again without prompting. To be excellent customer service is anticipating a customers needs and they did exactly this!
I stayed in a standard room which was comfortable and beautiful. My only minor criticism was controlling the heat/cooling in the room required you calling reception to do this.
When the storm hit the UK and my flight was cancelled, I hadn't heard from the airline about hotel accommodation/flights so I called the hotel and asked if I could extend my stay and they offered a reduced rate to me as a return guest with exceptional circumstances. This reduced my concerns and stress - especially as it the carnival had just started and Venice was very busy.
Location wise, it was perfect for me. I was travelling on my own attending a photography course - so the central location with easy access to the boats made getting around a breeze.
Venice itself was stunning, and everyone I met was so friendly and welcoming. I will definitely return to Venice and this hotel.
We recently visited Venice and stayed at the beautiful Ca’Sagrefo. The hotel is perfectly located on The Grand Csnal within a few minutes of Rialto Bridge and Rialto Market. The hotel is truly amazing with excellent service from a wonderful team.
We upgraded to a Suite with Canal view and would recommend it highly. The breakfast was good and the a la carte option was also quick . The bar is also worth a visit with an extensive wine and cocktail collection.
We will revisit the hotel again to enjoy the service and
