Our room was so small that the suitcase had to be placed in the bathroom, otherwise the door would not open. The furniture is old. The shower warms up in the morning for about half an hour, and then suddenly begins to change the temperature from very hot to cold and vice versa, and also it was not comfortable to wash there because not everyone can get into this shower, cabin is very small. Breakfasts are acceptable, without hot dishes, but when we asked to cook a box with us, since we left early and didn’t have time to eat, man on the reception replied with a gross rejection, saying that the kitchen doesnt work at such a time. It was unpleasant because usually hotels care about customers and some yogurt or apples not difficult to find. Also noone tried to do something with shower and even haven't say sorry about this inconvenience. Generaly, we are most of all disappointed with the attitude of the staff, therefore the rating is so low, Italy is famous for its hospitality and the impressions of all the vacation can be spoiled by its absence, as it happened to us. We sincerely believe that finding a better hotel in Florence for the same money is not a problem.

Me and my hubby chose this hotel after reading lots of reviews, our main aim was to find a decent bnb close to train station as we are walking with cases, this was a nice flat 8 min walk. We used our phone maps and took us straight to it. All these bnbs are small entrances as they go up above the shops in these old buildings so ours was a type of gate on the left with a buzzer to get in then a lift up to 5th floor, this is the reception area and contained a sitting area and what seems to be the floor of the modernised rooms, we had booked an upgrade after reading comments on the basic rooms that people say needed some TLC .
So our find was Marco on reception was very helpful with the map of the area and places to visit out of Florence by train or bus.
Our room a double with a lovely bathroom I think it was called a superior room like I say on this 5th floor. This is our 1st port of call as we are travelling on after this and we soon found out beds are hard in every hotel,in this hotel quite hard feeling spring lines,so we used the duvet under the fitted sheet like a topper and slept well. Room had aircon ,safe, fridge ,and views over roof tops to the Duomo, a flight of steps takes you to the roof top garden area.where staff will serve you a drink from the little bar.nice furniture up there and the views are lovely.
We cannot comment on any of the other rooms but ours was quiet clean and a perfect spot for the sights.breakfast was good too just continental but plenty. Easy to walk round all the sights ,very hot so plenty stops for drinks (expensive) every corner revieled another WOW building. Loved our stay.

This is a hotel that does the simple things as they should. warm welcome, nothing too much trouble, excellent breakfast. Clearly the property is undergoing renovation, the public areas are very well done. Our room was tired and probably next in line. However, it was clean, comfortable bed, and decent facilities.

Uncomplicated but cannot recommend highly enough.

Arriving at 9pm, saw that the hotel offered parking online, so felt good about showing up. Starting off, there is not parking or drop off area in front of hotel, so that was confusing. After driving around parts of Florence I didn't want to at night, we finally found a place to pull off and call the hotel. We were informed that they "offer" parking at a parking garage about a block away. It's definitely not included in the price, as it costs 32€ to park until noon the following day. Then, lugging suitcases up the parking garage ramp (no elevator), and across the bumpy streets to get to the hotel, only to discover that the bell to open the security gate wasn't working, or they left the desk. So, we called the hotel again to let us in to go up to check in. This all took about an hour and a half, and we collapsed into bed and skipped dinner this night since this process wiped us out.

Overall, if you're fine with spending the extra money for parking, and don't have 4 pieces of luggage with you, it's not a terrible place to stay. The room does have a dusty, old feel to it, which we didn't care about since we just went straight to sleep.
