we have been travelling for 12 months and this is the WORST hostel we have EVER stayed in! we made a booking 1 month in advance for 1 tent, two beds, and the rude check in girl told us even though we made booking together we would be in seperate tents, staff are all SO awful, the security was terrible as the flaps of the bottom of the tent are not connected to the ground and people could definitely get through if they wish, we also came to our tent on checkout morning after breakfast (9am), someone was already in our room and had moved all our stuff outside in the RAIN (checkout is at 11!). Super FILTHY bathrooms full of mould, SO GROSS we did not even want to have a shower here! The tent leaked during a rainy day & we returned to a saturated backpack and belongings and bed, had to sleep in a wet bed! There were also so many holes in the tent and so many mosquitos, staff did not care at all! No charging ports in tent, only in common area which is outside and hardly any here either - very bad location for going to the main area of Florence, the "restaurant" was super overpriced and the staff here were also unfriendly - it shows that all staff must clearly HATE their jobs as they are all very horrible - do yourself a favour and DO NOT STAY HERE!

I'm using my friends account to post this review as it was so awful!! I booked to stay in a three bed dorm which in reality is a tent with no light, and no aircon making it impossible to go in the room in the day and it was pitch black at night. The tents were so poorly structured that insects such as spiders and ants were constantly crawling up the inner walls.

On my first night I was woken by other guests who were given a key to my dorm - it was very noisy, annoying and unsafe. I went with them to reception and we were met by a rude, unapologetic staff member who didn't seem to care about the situation!

The toilets and showers (always cold) were filthy - covered in hair and filled with mosquitos. It was a 40 minute walk to the nearest shop despite images showing that there was one on site. The restaurant is only open from 6:30pm and only serves pizza. As compensation there are vending machines which often eat your money.

The atmosphere was fair with lots of friendly, approachable people - the fact that there was only one area with WIFI and plug sockets may have had something to do with this. Even then this area was also the only place to eat and was always covered in huge ants as it was kept clean at all.

The solitary redeeming factor was that there was a great view of Florence.

Honestly, I was impressed with this campsite overall. I liked that it was out of town and had room for parking, yet was just a short walk down to the river and the markets. The view over Florence is just amazing and one of the highlights. The hired tents were good, spacious with lighting and can be locked. I found there were enough bathroom facilities- showers, toilets, ect. However not always hot water in all of the showers but I would expect that when camping. Plenty of charger ports around, laundry facilities were good and the pizzeria was great. Reception was helpful with things like directions ect. For camping I think this is fairly decent and I wouldn't say no to coming back. Thanks.

When we first arrived at the campsite there was a bit of a mix up with out room and resulted in one of our party (there were four of us so one was in a seperate tent) being in a tent quite far away instead of next door which was disappointing. In addition to this the showers were not great as it felt like a hose shooting onto me, but it got the job done i suppose. the beds were fine and all the staff were really lovely and the little bar type thing was really nice to sit at on a night. Despite the few bad things it's worth it for not only the friendly staff but also the amazing view! you can see all over florence

For camping this is definitely amazing! We booked it online and it said "Sleeping Room" but when we got there it was a tent with beds. It was fine, but we weren't really prepared for camping so at night it was FREEZING cold and kind of a lot mosquitos...There is a club close by and you could really hear the music too...Bring long clothes and mosquito spray! The amenities on ground were great and the wifi area was good too. The restaurant was definitely AMAZING! Go there for amazing pizza and the Caprese Salad was just phenomenal! If you don't want to go camping I would suggest a hostel though.
