We have checked in the main building but were sent to a building opposite.Location is very near to metro station and walking distance to the city centre. Good value for money. The girl during the day at the reception was very helpful and organised an early taxi for us.Negative points are that it is very noisy because no double glazing windows, you can hear all the cars and buses passing. If your room is on the 1st floor next to the reception, you can hear all the time people ringing the door bell at the entrance to get in so quite annoying at night when you want to sleep.

We stayed at Residencial Castromira for two nights in May, 2014. The staff were really wonderful, and all spoke at least some English. The owner, Isabel, is fluent, and as nice and accommodating as you could ask. The rooms are comfortable- not large, but large enough for luggage and to move around. The beds were comfortable, and we had a good nights sleep. We had a small tv that worked. Our room was en-suite (with shower and toilet) and it was roomy with plenty of hot water. They have rooms with shared baths as well. There is also a small common area many people used. It is on a main street in Lisbon, with some great restaurants around it, as well as markets and shops. Easy walk to the main square of Rossio.

My reservation was well noted and the concierge informed me that the hotel was closed because of low season, but I had a room across the street at the "Residencial do Sul". Please see my review on this for more details.

The service was fine and very helpful.

I checked in the main building , but my room was in another across the street. The staff were friendly , the room clean but noisy as facing the main street. 20 minute walk from Lisbon central area. The area looked quite dodgy at night time, not too threatening but i wouldn't recommend female travellers to stay in this area. The was no air conditioning.

We had a twin room with private bathroom, rather small and not luxuriously furnished, but for just sleeping in it was enough. Really excellent location, next to the famous tram Nr 28 and metro Intendente stops.
Friendly staff, but don´t expect receipt automatically (only on our request). Payment required immediately upon your arrival to the hotel.
