You'll get a big room with clean sheets and towels. The rest however could be improved:
- you're lucky if you can get a shower: water pressure low, mostly cold or very hot
- hardly any soap/shower gel
- rusty mirror
- broken toilet seat
Pool is clean but rather small.
Wi fi has poor signal in most of the rooms.
Thank you very much for your friendly welcome vangellis.we loved our chilled out holiday. The pool was used most days and the clean sheets and towels everyday was much appreciated.would definitely come back. The walk to and from town kept us fit all week.
Clean towels and bedding daily was great. The place was very clean.
Vangelis and his family were very welcoming.
It is a mile walk from the town but this suited us as we like a daily walk to off set the regular food intake.
Pool was great for cooling down and there was plenty of sun beds/shade.
Will definitely come back.
Don’t really know how to start this review…it’s my 3rd for Villa Dorita & it’s different from the rest. In the other reviews I’ve spoken a lot about what’s on offer in Villa Dorita itself like the fab, scrupulously clean rooms, the beautiful pool area with comfy loungers & the friendliness of everyone who works there etc but this review is on a much more personal level than the others for reasons you’ll see.
To say it was not our usual start to a holiday is an understatement…we arrived for our 4th visit to stunning Parga & our 3rd in successive years to the beautiful Villa Dorita on 13th June 2018
We were met by at the airport not by Vangelis, the owner, who is usually there to pick us up himself but by a family friend who informed us that the family had suffered the most tragic & unexpected loss just the day before.
Out of respect for the family I will not go into detail but both myself & my husband, so stunned & sad to hear the news & feeling for the family & their great loss thought, without even discussing it in the car that we should look for other accommodation & let them have their privacy to grieve in peace.
We arrived with this in mind to be to be unexpectedly, emotionally & warmly greeted by Vangelis himself despite the grief he was obviously suffering…it’s fair to say there were many tears & after passing on our sincere & heartfelt condolences we told him we’d be happy to look for alternative accommodation.
His reaction was absolutely amazing….. he thought of us before himself. He assured us it was business as usual & that he would be there every morning himself to make us breakfast beside the pool….this is how much this man cares about his customers & goes above & beyond where others would understandably lock themselves away & leave it to others to deal with.
We personally found this remarkable & utterly selfless considering the personal loss so freshly endured.
It would have been so easy for him to get others to attend to his guests but that was not an option as far as he was concerned. Being the architect of the beautiful Villa Dorita himself he has literally built the business from the ground up with his family, naming it after one of his children & cares exceptionally deeply about his customers & the high standard of service they receive.
During our 9 nights stay the family & staff showed us the same great service & attention to detail we have become accustomed to over the last few years & Vangelis even invited us down to meet their extended & very lovely family who were there to support them in their time of need. We were very touched by this kind & generous gesture & needless to say it’s testimony to the thoughtfulness & friendliness of this whole family & the Greek culture itself.
I honestly don’t know how much more of a high recommendation a prospective customer could need than this…. to say this family run business offers outstanding, friendly service & exceptionally high standards even in the most unexpected & dire of circumstances is an understatement & as long as we return to Parga we will look no further than the stunning Villa Dorita.
A very nice week at this hotel. Owners very nice - very helpful. We had family staying in Parga and they where happy for us to invite them to spend the day round the pool. Hotel is tucked away up a quiet road on an incline but that's what we wanted - to be away from the town and get some peace. The town is max 10 mins walk - no hardship at all. Rooms very clean - lovely to sit on balcony enjoying the privacy and peace. The hotel has a poolside snack bar where you can get a bit of breakfast/lunch which we found handy. This place is not flashy - but nice, clean, pretty, comfortable, hotel where we were happy to be for our weeks stay.
