The location of the resort is convenient, near the main road and the beach. The rooms are large and comfortable. Spacious living and dining area . But maintenance and tidiness of the resort needs to improve. The aircond at the twin bedroom is leaking water when in use. Looking at the ceiling mark, it appears that the water leak has not been properly fixed. Also, there is no soap tray in the bathroom. Potted plants are not taken care properly. Rubbish are dumped in front of the hotel. The surrounding area is quite untidy. We don't see any supervising manager around. The management office is closed most of the time. Looks like only the front desk and some maintenance staff are operating the resort.

Location is close to beach. But, sadly this part of the beach seems to be dangerous. Too much rubbish, broken glasses and even bowls. Close to the Floating Mosque.
Room was good enough for me, as I was on a solo trip.
Parking provided.
I'm not sure about their breakfast menu.

We were allocated this hotel through a link deal and were not overly happy with it.
However, we had a two bedroom suite that had very big rooms and bathrooms, all the bedding was clean and fresh, very good bed so no issues here, however, the furniture was very out dated and could do with a change, as a suite it had a full kitchen that also needs updating, there was a large fridge that was ok but the oven was dodgy at best, microwave was ok but poorly positioned.
The sea views were good, there is a rooftop pool which is good but nothing else made us smile, the TV had limited channels.
if you are on a tight budget it will do but we would not recommend it.

This place was in shambles the last time I stayed and I vowed never to go back. However, a friend who frequented this place said it has been renovated and now run like a hotel and has way improved. So decided to give it a second chance!

Ok, positive things noted:

1) there is some reno to the bathrooms, new tiles
2) Shower head changed to rainshower, and better heating system
3) Curtains are new too (blacked out curtains)
4) New split aircons, quite powerful
5) New TV
6) Exterior of building has been spruced up with a new coat of paint

Not so positive:

1) Beds remained old
2) Furniture old
3) Dining table and chairs are shaky
4) Poor kitchen facilities (only kettle, kitchen hobs, microwave oven and rice cooker provided)
5) Cutlery was limited, no knife provided, so how to cook I wonder
6) Very old fridge - makes grunting sounds

My biggest grouse is the cleanliness or the lack of it. The unit could be way cleaner although to be fair, it was not too bad. Maybe some extra efforts and it could earn a 90% points from me. The window of the unit were filthy so can do with some cleaning from the outside of the building.

Another point to make, why can't the bathroom have a ledge or a hanger for the shampoo and soap? These are small matters which should be thought of when renovating the unit.

As for location, it is actually not too bad if you have a car as there was ample parking and was free. Eateries around too within walking distance, Sunshine Bay and Tsunami Village Restaurants. So it just need a bit more investment and this hotel would be great!!

Questions & answers about the rooms

Hi I don't know when was the last time they renovated the rooms and bathroom. For me, it is usable and safe. If you look for something new and elegance, then it is not applicable in this case. Unfortunately, I didn't take photo because I always go there and almost every year. Nothing is new and unique. But, it is economic and spacious for family usage. That's my personal view. I hope it helps.
