Saw an article in a Sunday paper a few weeks ago and luckily enough the dates were available for the Saturday night we wanted. Booked a table at the same time, which I would definitely recommend . We checked in, and was shown to our room, we were surprised to see how busy it was for 2-30pm on a Saturday afternoon. Our room was lovely, a huge bed, and a roll top bath in the room as well as the bathroom/bedroom through another door. Room was clean and tidy. A nice sizeable TV suited the room area. Plenty of pillows on the bed, and plenty of fresh towels for the bath(which you have to try out). Both loved the room. Had booked a table for 7-15, decided to have a drink prior to sitting down. Again very busy. Would have ben nice to have sat in the bar area, but couldn't, due to a private function in there, but no problem, we sat elsewhere and waited for our table. All the staff were very polite and helpful. We both had small starters, then the lovely pizzas, which is what we went there for, cooked to order, and tasty. Good atmosphere there, obviously very popular, and we both enjoyed our stay. Definitely go back again some day. 👍👍👍to the stump team
We stayed in the hotel for a weekend break. The room was lovely and really comfortable. It isn’t too far from Cirencester town centre a was a good base for exploring the Cotswolds. The pizza from the restaurant was absolutely delicious!
The Stump is honestly my favourite place in the world. The staff are soooo friendly and welcoming. The pub/restaurant oh my goodness where do I begin? The breakfast is the breakfast of dreams, eggs, bacon, sour dough and the granola is as if it's been made by Jesus himself. The lunch and dinner is unreal, we didn't even bother to go out anywhere else during our two night stay. The pizza is honestly one of the best pizzas I've had in my life and the pasta is incredible. Basically, every single thing I ate at The Stump was sooo delicious and I've been dreaming about it ever since. I would drive from London just to eat and drive back home! The hotel is so beautiful, the bed is so dreamy and the pillows are amazing! The room has everything you need. 10/10!! Thanks again you guys are the best!!
P.S. we almost started a fire in the pub because we're from London and we got excited about seeing an open fire, they were so understanding and laughed about it!
We stayed here following a wedding reception at their sister facility at Cripps Barn - which is around 2 miles away. There is good parking at this really nicely refurbished pub / B&B. The room (no. 5) has modern and stylish decor with a powerful shower (always a big plus in my books...). Bed was slightly hard but certainly did not stop us getting a good nights sleep.
Breakfast was nice but not quite the size of the English Breakfast you come to expect from this kind of hotel - none the less it was very tasty.
Icing on the cake though was when the guy managing the breakfast room offered myself and another guest a lift to the previous nights venue to collect our cars... nice touch.
We stayed at The Stump to attend a wedding at the nearby Cribbs Farm.
The rooms were excellent - recently refurbished. Very clean. Beautiful breakfast in a room with an open log fire.
A little bit chaotic on arrival and the place could do with a proper reception but this did not detract from the excellence of the accommodation.
