Stayed at the Normandie for 5 nights and was delighted with the room at first glance, but on inspection was a little dismayed at the finer details. My wife soon discovered dust everywhere - bedframe and blinds were full of dust and bathroom grouting ( especially around shower) was dirty. Heated towel rail was rusty and didnt work, and sink was damaged. The lights in the room were weird - they kept turning themselves off, and if you were in the bathroom at night you had to keep the door open or you were plunged into darkness! There was also an air condition unit next to our room which was annoying - kept going on and off all day and night. Having said all the bad bits it was great to be inside the walls, the staff were great, very friendly. the breakfast was huge and the food in general was good. I had one of their crab sandwiches and it was lovely.

I stayed here with four friends for a birthday night out in tenby and the hotel was in a perfect location. Right in the middle of everything and perfect for a party weekend! The rooms were clean and pleasant and the food was exceptional! Only thing I would say is that it was a bit pricey for a room however I would stay again as it's perfect for what we wanted 😊

School-boy error - as reasonably seasoned travellers we didn't check out The Normandie sufficiently prior to booking. The bar area is reasonably modern and cosy thanks to the open fire. The staff were friendly and helpful. Although car parking is challenging in Tenby, the multi-story is a mere 150 metres via the back entrance of the Normandie - and its very reasonable too. Sat nav the car park - not The Normandie.

We stayed two nights in room 3. We ate there the first night, which in fairness was OK, typical pub-grub style. We ate out the second night at The Tenby Hotel and the fare was much worse. There are many others to choose from.

Our room was in need of a good revamp / refurb. Furniture was old and tatty and nothing matched. Bed was OK. The bathroom whilst large was grubby and needed a serious professional upgrade.

Tenby is a attractive location. We went in November to avoid the crowds and had a lovely time. Top Tips: Don't make the journey to St.Davids unless you are ultra keen - its a long narrow road! But the scenery around McBride's Bay is stunning. Visit Saundersfoot, Camarthen and pop into the Designer Shopping Outlet at Bridgend directly off and sign-posted from the M4.Remember too that the bridge toll on the M4 ceases from December 2018 - so it'll be free to cross the Severn!

Like in everything, you get what you pay for and we didn't pay a lot in fairness but we do expect a minimum level of cleanliness and modernity.

I stayed for 2 nights in room five, stairways smell really dirty to and from room, damp smell. On first opening door to room, I was really impressed with the size of he room, facilities sky television, tea and coffee facilities. Iron and board supplied in room but Iron not use-able as the plate was black from burnt clothes.

In contrast the bathroom was horrific, bathroom floor cracked throughout, black mould all over the outside and around the seals. The floor adjoining the bathroom which has been carpeted recently was dipping, as you stepped on the carpet the floor underneath went down, clearly rotten floor boards, same in passageway/stairs.

The pub itself is situated in a very nice location and there was a lovely lady working on the breakfast each morning, maybe a manager.

The bed was very comfortable but the room cleaning left a lot to be desired huge lumps of dusk on skirting board under radiator. The bedroom furniture which was good quality has been ruined by customers putting hot drinks on wood and leaving rings.

This place has its positives but I have never seen a bathroom in such a state in any place I have ever stayed. I would return if owner sorted out the damp problems and clearly subsidence in the property or rotten floor boards as the staff are very nice.
