Booked without seeing it but we were very impressed with the Service and the accommodation. The breakfasts were of a high standard and everything was fresh and well presented. People should be aware that this Hotel is in Italy so no fry ups in the morning but they will do very good omelettes or boil you an egg if desired. It us a buffet type breakfast with different types of Croissant, cheeses and meats. Also a variety of cereals and fruits. Coffee and Tea is available. The bedroom was very clean and well presented and overlooked the swimming pool at the rear of the hotel. There wasn't any excessive noises from the traffic. Also the room had air con - just press the button. We will return there without hesitation.
Really great location at a small plaza just by the water front in a very cute little village. Old fashioned interiors and rooms with quite lean and simple equipment. Clean and tidy though. Very friendly staff. Small pool in the garden. Recommend to take room with balcony and sea view.
Hotel Splendid is only a piazza away from its own private stretch on the beach. The beach was so nice that we didn't actually spend a single day at the pool even though that was one of our reasons for picking the place. I would say its well worth upgrading to a sea view as theres not many of them and you may be looking at a brick wall if not. We upgraded and the view in the morning was lovely. Hotel staff all very welcoming and attentive. Breakfast is good; wide range of hams, cheeses, cereals, fruits, pastries and bread on offer. The rooms are nice enough although ladies you may want to bring your own hair dryer (unless you want to spend a good hour drying yours!) The town Laigueglia itself is absolutely gorgeous. Coming from England it was refreshing to come somewhere were little english was spoken. It was easy enough for us to get by but we felt really submerged in the relaxing and slow paced italian culture at Laigueglia. If you're looking for a relaxing get away then look no further!
Laigueglia is a beautiful spot on the Ligurian coastline - and this Hotel is the perfect place to enjoy it from. Great staff welcome you upon arrival, the rooms are spacious and clean - the ones with the seaview are worth paying a little extra for but this does not distract from the rest. My room overlooked the pool !! There is parking and does not cost the earth. I will return very soon to enjoy the ambience. While you are there you must also eat at the Trattoria del Pescatore.
So glad that we decided to stop off on a whim at this little seaside town on the way from Riccione to Monaco. The staff were all very helpful and polite. They found a place by the pool for us to park our motorcycle. The hotel itself is delightful, it is full of interesting memorabilia and the rooms are individual. We had a sea view on the third floor and it is was beautiful, spacious, clean and individual. The breakfast was continental but very nice with plenty of choice and eggs could be cooked to order. We really enjoyed our overnight stay and wished it was longer.
