My boyfriend and I stayed at Maredomus for two nights, on arrival Pino and his wife greeted us so warmly. We were a little early, however we were able to go into our room and were even given a plate of fresh figs. The B&B itself is lovely, quaint and very clean and perfectly positioned to get around the town of Milazzo and board a boat to visit the Isole Eoile. Upon our day of departure they very kindly dropped us back to the train station. I would
Highly recommended a stay at this lovely family B&B, and thank Pino and his wife for being so hospitable.
This BB has nice and clean rooms. My room had a sea view and the BB is located close to the port and several restaurants. To my view the breakfast is poor: a cappucino and "corneto" in a nearby bar/pasticeria ( there is second choice, but not very convincing either). A point that should be made is that they do not accept payment with credit card (a confusing note about this is in Booking). Finally, my two last showers were cold, despite the fact that I had communicated this to the owner.
We arrived by car late at night after having lost more time than expected getting to Milazzo via the ferry from the mainland - we had reserved the room by phone based only on reviews we read here on TripAdvisor - but found it easily even in the dark as it's right on the lungomare. Street parking was available right across from the B&B.
The owner was especially gracious and welcoming, and I wish we had more time to chat, but it was late and we had been on the road most of the day. The room was much bigger than we expected, comfortable, and spotless clean. The bathroom looked like it had just been renovated. It was still hot out so we were glad to have air conditioning in the room, though we had to ask the owner for the remote so we could use it (not a problem - we just felt bad knocking on his apartment door to ask).
In the morning we saw that there was a small balcony overlooking the harbor, and there was a nice view of the fishing boats coming in. And the location was an easy walk to the center of town, the commercial port (with ferries for the islands), and a long palm-tree-lined walk along the harbor.
No breakfast in the B&B itself - you get a coupon that you can use at a bar next door, for pastries and coffee.
We didn't get to stay long, but enjoyed our stay there and would recommend it.
This B&B has a very good location to the port from where the ferries leave to the Aeolian islands- it's close enough that you can walk there with luggage, but also far enough that you're not on top of the port and can enjoy pretty views of the water. The walk to the port is pretty- it's along the water, and in the early morning there's no one around except maybe 2 people riding bikes, so it's calm and peaceful. And it's easy, you just take the street along the water all the way down to the port.
This is a good B&B- our room was pleasant, large, comfortable, with a nice balcony overlooking the water, and the owners are nice. We left too early for breakfast. There's a little grocery store nearby where you can buy some salami and bread to make sandwiches.
The Maredomus B&B is on the perfect location in Milazzo. It is near the port and only a short walk to main centre. In the morning from the balcony you can watch the fishermen who sell fish. We were greeted on arrival by owners Lino and Pia. They are very hospitality and friendly. We had a big renovated room with our own bathroom. The room and bathroom were very clean. The price was excellent for the position we were. The breakfast was in bar near the hotel. We only miss better Wi-fi connection. For the breakfast, we get a croissant and coffee. We stayed here during the holiday in May and highly recommend the B&B Maredomus.
