Arrived here late afternoon and the concierge took care of our luggage. Check in was friendly & fast. The hotel has been opened just over a year and is still new & fresh. After exiting the lift and walking towards our room, the hallways are adorned with beautiful artwork. Entering our room, 1503, a wardrobe with normal coat hangers, a couple of drawers, slippers, dressing gowns and a safe. A luggage shelf for 1 suitcase and space underneath to store your shoes. In a separate cupboard there is an iron & ironing board. A small bar area with the fridge being a pull out drawer.
To the left is the bathroom. A large single vanity with a large mirror with lights incorporated into it and a shaving mirror. A separate toilet with an opaque door, a large walk in shower with a rain head and a hand held shower arm. A really good hair dryer, sometimes hard to find in a good hotel, plenty of towels & hand towels. The only bad thing I can say about the bathroom is the water pressure in the shower, it’s not very hard.
Into the bedroom is a king bed which is so dreamy you do not want to get out of it. It so so comfortable, the pillows are also dreamy & the doona is so warm, it’s the best bed I have slept in. Next to the bed is 2 side tables with a drawer for some more clothing & lamps. A glass topped desk with a touch lamp, comfortable chair, rubbish bin which caters for rubbish & recycling. A lounge chair with foot stool, floor lamp, floor to ceiling windows, large tv mounted on the wall. The TV has a wake up call function where the tv automatically comes on and gradually gets louder. I thought this was great.
As Bonvoy members, we always ensure that we have the club access with every stay. Over Xmas, the Westin was fully booked out, also due the Brisbane International (Tennis) with many tennis players stay here. The club was also very busy. Children under 16 are not allowed in after 6pm, and we saw parents take their children and leave at this time which I am grateful for as I want this time to relax. The lounge is a great place for this to enjoy some canapes and drinks. Drinks, beer, wine, juice, soft drinks and spirits. Canapes, different set of hot items every night served to your table. If you feel like more, there is also a buffet of other foods, cheese & cold meats, spring rolls, prawns, etc…The food was excellent and so was the service. We ate breakfast here every morning. Breakfast you can order eggs anyway, along with all the usual provisions. The lounge over looks the pool area.
The pool is an indoor pool with lounges scattered around. There is a swim up bar, pool toys for kids & adults. I did find that not much sun comes in, it could have been because of the time of day, It was late afternoon.

The hotel is in a great location. Close to shops, cafes, bars, pubs, the river and gardens.

Overall, we loved our stay at the Westin and would definitely return.

We arrived at the Westin on Christmas Day 2019 and stayed for two nights under a good promotion run by the hotel.

As a Marriott Platinum member, we were upgraded to a top level Club River View room, with an additional rollaway bed for my daughter. The room was average sized and had a slight view of the Brisbane River from far away, obstructed by tall buildings next to the Hotel. Due to better availability, we were upgraded to a Westin King Suite on the second night, which was nearly double the size of the previous room, with a rollout sofa bed for my daughter, and very comfortable.

We had breakfast and snacks in the Club Lounge and also complimentary food at the Nautilus Pool Bar (ordered and delivered) under the promotion. Unfortunately, the swim up pool bar was only open on weekends so we didn't get a chance to enjoy it.

The location of the Hotel is great, within a short distance to the shopping malls and the Brisbane City Botanic Gardens.

To be honest, the rooms at this hotel were not that outstanding. However, the services we received were really superb and made up for this 5-star review. Special thanks to Sarah (Complex Room Controller) for assisting us with the reservation, Johnny and Azam for a warm check in process upon our arrival, Emma for being so friendly and accommodating at the Club Lounge, and Katie (front office manager) for checking us out and promptly correcting a billing issue.

It's been 6 months since our stay and I really don't remember the room quality of our stay anymore. But I still clearly remember the excellent staff that we had met during our stay and this is really the highlight of the Westin Brisbane.

I hope everyone is keeping well!

Sijia

Room Tip: Suites are much nicer than Rooms. River Views are only partial, even on the top floor.

Our family--two adults, two teenagers--loved this hotel. Our favourite hotel out of the different hotels we stayed in during our trip to Australia.

Hotel is new and all feels quite upscale--the suite, the Club Lounge, and the pool area with its in-pool lounge chairs and swim up bar.

We stayed in a suite and the bedroom felt quite luxurious, spacious, and private. The bedroom--with the comfy Westin bed-- was set apart from the living area/sofa bed. Our teens shared a sofa bed and they said it was one of the more comfortable sofa beds. The only drawback was a noisy fan/HVAC system in the bathroom (we couldn't figure out how to turn it off...quite noticeable). Impressive storage/closet space.

We are Elite members and we took advantage of the Club Lounge. Food and drinks were good, and we were impressed with the service and choice of food. Unlike some other Club Lounges, which can feel a bit sterile, the lounge here was stylish and inviting. We read here, played cards, and lingered.

Our teens liked it here...apparently the pool area made for nice photos :)

Location of the hotel was great...we could get to good restaurants and walks by foot.

I stayed for 1 night at this MEL property. The hotel is relatively new, so it has a fresh feel to it. The rooms are a good size, with all the modern touches you would expect; USB ports, complimentary water bottles, Nespresso machine, fast internet, quality beds, nice bathrooms with included amenities.

I used the gym, and whilst it was small, there was a great view of the pool from the running machines. There was more complimentary water bottles in the gym.

Staff were pleasant. The only issue I had, oddly, were that the bedsheets made my legs itch like mad. After a while I kicked off the sheets and just lay under the duvet, which seemed to do the trick. Otherwise, the bed was comfortable and I had a good sleep.

I’d stay here again.

Stayed for 2 nights, very comfortable bedding for a good night sleep. We booked a room with 2 twin bed, fitted 5 of us(7yrs ,6yrs and 1 infant) nicely. The lady at the front desk let us checked in early on our arrival and also late check out on departure which is really nice service. Pool is good too, nice and clean. Didn't get a chance to enjoy the swim up bar but I'm sure it would be really nice. Only down side is not much view from our room apart from the construction site across from the road. Over all its a good hotel to stay for short trip to Brisbane.
