First of all we booked in the Peak Season with High fare, which was totally not worth for that. Cleanliness is somehow OK. But most of the amnesties are not up to the mark.
Food served in afternoon was good in taste where as food served in room for dinner was pathetic. It's little away from city Center ( You must have private vehicle).
I stayed here for couple of nights in December 2016. The place was rotten with bed bugs, they call them self as 3 start property and the way they maintain is just disgusting. My entire back was swollen due to bed bug bites and had to change room at 3 am. Mattress are also from 18th century completely worn out.
Restaurant food and breakfast is very bad.
On plus side access to beach is good, car parking is adequate. Room service is ultra fast.
Rooms were very ordinary, not at all worth for 5000 Rs per night. Service was okay in a way that whatever we have asked for like extra towel and bed they have provided after calling 3-4 times. However the bed was wet and we couldn’t used it. Food was pathetic, restaurant offers main course food before starters, kitchen was full of newbies they don’t know how to serve. The underage looking boy wasn’t even sure of how many plates and glasses to get for 5 people. Very bad experience, doesn’t worth more than 1000-1500 bucks. I would never recommend this place to anyone.
There were mosquitoes in the room, the extra bed we asked for was wet so couldn’t used it. There was notice on the door saying outside food and drinks are not allowed, food in the hotel restaurant was pathetic, they serve desert first then main course and lastly the starters.
A fantastic location a couple of hundred of metres from the enchanting waves where occasionally you see dolphins but more often the student swimmers and coaches of Auroswim, Auroville's ocean swimming club, as the beach also functions as the main beach of Auroville. The Resort could do better at housekeeping, and I think the balcony room is a bit overpriced.
This Hotel came as a surprise to me when I was in desperate need of a hotel during the month of February. Shree Maa's Birthday was around and all the hotels were booked. I had some work in University and so looking for a hotel which could give me a comfort of short distance to University. The Hotel has been comfortable strating from booking to staying to room service to cleanliness to location. Only challenge is to get a good north Indian food, well this is not the fault of Hotel, I believe. It is okay. Staffs and supervisors hardly understand Hindi but they manage very well.
