Great hotel, we love the spa facilities. The view of the city from the swimming pool area was great. Our room was very clean and receptionists were friendly. The only one small complaint we had was we arrived late and we didnt realise there were two entrances and no one didnt pickup when we rang the intercom and we spent 15-20mins trying to get ahold of someone at 2am.

After searching the web for 4* hotels we decided to choose the Qubus as it had a pool. Well I should have read other visitor reviews as I concur with many of the disappointed customers.

Good points are the great quality breakfast and modern looking reception. The pool area is nice and although small, was big enough to swim some lengths. That’s it I’m afraid.

The air conditioning is poor and didn’t cool the room. Someone was sent up to fix it but it didn’t make a difference. The mattresses are so soft that when you sit on the edge of the bed you almost touch the floor! Our backs suffered because of the poor mattresses. Many of the staff (not all) were surly and rude - customer service training needs to take place. The hotel is a long walk from the main square - the walk is nice the first couple of times but got boring by day 3. The room decor is dated and the showers are very weak/old.

All in all I would say this is a 3* hotel with a pool (which is where it probably gets its fourth star from on the rating criteria).

We have stayed twice in Krakow, both times at much nicer places (Andels House and the Novotel), which had lovely rooms and customer service, and were better priced.

Qubus could be great if management gives attention to various aspects. At the moment I wouldn’t recommend it. What a shame.

This modern hotel on the south bank of the river is well placed for the old town just over the river. The welcome was warm from reception and the room comfortable and well equipped. Reasonable blackout, good bed and a strong shower.
Breakfast was good - plenty of choice.
There is underground parking at a reasonable price.

We stayed 3 nights on a weekend break. Room and facilities certainly lived up to the 4-star rating. We were on the 4th floor, access 2 internal lifts plus one panoramic lift which we used by choice. We overlooked the river and could see across to the city - the Jewish quarter was a 10-minute walk across a 2010 pedestrian/bicycle bridge. A Tram stop was about the same distance the other way. We never felt the need to use the tram system.

Security was good - key card opened double doors to your floor from the lift lobby as well as your room, plus the gym/pool suite on the 6th floor.

Breakfast in the hotel - included - was amazing - probably the best choice of any hotel we have ever stayed in anywhere in the world. They claim over 100 choices of dish, and that is not an exaggeration. They even had nutella AND peanut butter as choices - one of my niggles when even in most 5-star hotels the assumption is that you only have jam or marmalade on bread.

We ate in the restaurant our first evening. Food was nice and there was a good choice. We only had a main course, but the prices were very reasonable.

The only disappointment was the pool and Jacuzzi. The pool is quite small, 3 people at most swimming at a time. The depth goes form 1.1 to 1.7m - unnecessary - and useless for walking rather than swimming, as I do. The pool temperature was cool - perhaps about 26c - I am used to an outdoor pool, 1,2m deep all over and set at 33c. The Jacuzzi was similar to one you used to get for the garden in the 1990s - seats 4 maximum and "rests" for a while before restarting. It was too cold to sit in for long. Avoid the whole area after about 3pm - and Sunday morning was very busy. To reach the pool from the "spa" entrance means a steep staircase - no lift.

The gym looked good with a handful of machines. The Steam room and Saunas were both working, but were quite small.

Just returned from Qubus Krakow what a wonderful hotel! Location great 20 to 25 minutes walk to square and 10 minutes to Kazimierz area which is great place to see for food and drink! Room fantastic 6th floor had paid for junior suite.
Ate one night I Hotel restaurant again was good value for money. Breakfast superb.
Agree with others hotel more like a business hotel but this did not distract from the excellent service and hotel.
Pool was great when quiet as got busy on times but did find the jet machine in pool which you could swim against.
Nothing negative to say about the hotel at all had a great time!
