We stayed in this hotel for only one night while making our way home. Staff were very nice, the hotel is very modern, and the rooftop terrace is to die for. The room was very nice, and well laid out, although it would have been better if it was bigger. The view from the rooftop is amazing, and you can see all of the main attractions and buildings of DC, including the White House, Capitol Building, Washington Monument, and the Smithsonian. The White House is a 15 min. walk away, and there are tons of restaurants in the area. Staff was very helpful with our late night McDonalds order for dinner as it was a very long day of driving. This hotel is amazing for people exploring the DMV area, as it is very central, and for those driving to Baltimore, it is only a 40 min. drive. Would recommend!
Room definitely not as clean as reviews led to believe....after long day of sight seeing came back and room was not cleaned nor did they provide clean towels. Will not stay at Cambria properties again, the front desk just said sorry housekeeping gone for day without any other assistance. Poor customer service.
We have family who live nearby so this hotel was originally chosen for its convenient location. We have stayed here many times since but this is a hotel we truly enjoy staying at. The hotel is kept very clean, our room spotless, the staff friendly and always helpful. I want to give a special shout out to Danielle, who checked us in upon our arrival this time, she couldn't have been any more pleasant. We noticed a room amenity waiting for another guest and we joked it must be for us. Danielle was so kind she had an amenity sent to our room too. Later during our stay she text us asking to let her know if there was anything we needed during our stay to please let her know. This is exactly the kind of service we sincerely appreciate but sadly have not always experienced at other hotels.
I stayed last year on cambria lax in los angeles and let me tell that this hotel is very far in quality, i was very excited to fin that they had a cambria in washington as i had such a good experience in my last trip to LA, the location of the hotel is good walking distance to main attractions , the room looks dirty some fungus on the bathroom, stained furniture, the closet has a funky smell, the carpet looks like it have not been properly cleaned in a while , the shades are not closing properly so in the morning you can not sleep til late , i had to get on a chair and fix them cause they were out of the hooks, no smart tv in the room, i couldnt watch netflix, in the other cambria y stayed i could watch netflix, the shower has no door and while you shower you freeze at the same time, and the water pressure is terrible , every time i shower is very annoying instead of relaxing , the first day i came i prepared myself a coffee and the creamer was expirated and smell like bad milk, the breakfast is actually a thing i enjoy by normal at the cambrias the first day was fine the second day we woke late at 10:00 am and the breakfast was empty and they still charge us $12 per person, when i ask the woman from the breakfast if she could refill , she told me that breakfast was finishing in half an hour and they had a big group and that was her excuse, like she was giving it to me for free, this was very dissapointing , i am definetely not having breakfast ever again for the rest of my trip today is wednesday and am leaving friday , i ll be taking my business elsewhere and for future i ll not be staying in the cambria dc ever again.
I was there just for 2 days with my husband and two small children and everyone in the family loved it!
I was the lucky guest of the day and it was so special, the kids even enjoyed it too! The staff has gone far beyond my expectations in making everyone in the family feel welcomed. They even ran up menus to my room when I was looking for places to eat!
Also, the room was very spacious, clean, and modern. Everything worked well and we also loved the pool.
I would defiantly recommend this hotel and come back if I am ever in the area again.
