We stayed here on the recommendation of our Guide for the Annapurna Sanctuary Trek. The hotel was undergoing some renovations at the time. Our room was spacious and affordable for two backpackers on a budget. The tap/shower head did not always work properly and the wifi was spotty at times, but the hotel manager was always willing to help out. There were a few outlets in the room but none of them worked. We charged our electronics in the manager's room. We felt confident in storing our valuables here and left our passports and some cash as well. Nothing was damaged or stolen upon our return. The area was quiet with a nice central garden. The staff was very friendly and spoke good english.
The hotel seems to belongs to "Stone age". The bedsheets, blankets were very dirty, TV in the room is just for show, people talk on the top of their voice in midnight, will not get sound sleep. Only good part is the room service "boy" was very helpful & hard working. No other staff members are there other from the hotel supervisor. Its not a worth staying in that hotel so much in-hygenic and noisy.
Well, to be honest, never been to such a horrible place till this age. With the price we paid, we could have got much a better place to stay.
About rooms, as soon as you enter the room, you are welcomed by the smell of mold. I had to sleep in the furniture which had a big hole(Room 06). The rooms were dirty, and the carpet seemed not to be washed for years.
Bedsheets stinks and had holes, so had the blanket.
The sockets for the cell chargers didn't work either.
With bathroom, the basins and the boards were rusted. No curtains in the bathroom, the place for toilet paper was non-existent.
In the room(05), there was no soaps provided.
The water finishes off in the midway between the bath. We even didn't have water to flush the washroom time and again during the stay.
About staffs, the manager(or the owner) wasn't humble enough and was unfriendly.
I saw the single girl of 16-18 yrs working all the way from toasts to cleaning. Others seem useless and unhelpful.
Internet seemed to be useless.
The only good thing was the garden! But you can't spend your vacations only in the garden.
The stay is a nightmare!
Better safe than sorry!
It's a quiet place with less rooms but a lot of space with the garden in the middle. Loved the atmosphere in the garden but unfortunately there were no comfortable seats. The room was simple, a bit dated actually, but clean.
The best part of hotel mandala is the garden where u can relax and enjoy the morning sunshine while taking your breakfast. The hotel staff is helpful and friendly and can make necessary arrangements for local sightseeing .(They gave me a homely feeling)Rooms are clean.Bathroom was ok.Room service and wi fi are on the slower side.Sometimes even the front desk receptionist is not available. The front gate probably remains open 24×7 and I couldnt see any security personal guarding the premises. The location is great and I shall probably stay there if I visit pokhara next time.
