The hotel staff was very helpful and walking distance within destination of the old quarter.
Had a pleasant stay there and the room was spaces. Surrounded with lots of restaurant and coffee cafe. Will stay here again.
Spent one night here between destinations. The room was spacious and included a small balcony which let in a nice breeze and over looked the street. Breakfast was good, but only western options were presented so no bowl of pho to start the morning. Staff were helpful, although you had to get the attention of the younger ones since they were frequently on their phones. Price was reasonable for what it was, and it was definitely nicer than a lot of the more budget hotels further into the Old Quarter.
Room 1/5 - my boyfriend and I originally requested a double bed when we booked the room m but was given 2 single beds for the first night. The bathroom was dirty and smelled of sewerage, and towels/bed linen had holes in them. We were then relocated to the second floor, just above ground level and the walls were very thin so you could hear every single sound and conversation coming from the foyer. Fridge was leaking and main shower head didn’t turn on, so we had to use the handheld one.
Customer Service 1/5 - We were up all night for two nights in a row because the staff were talking and laughing quite loudly until 1.30am which completely ruined our day. When entering/exiting the hotel, the staff were more concerned with playing with their mobiles that they barely acknowledged us. Make sure to count the bill yourself when you check out, as one of the staff members overcharged us and didn’t know how to use a calculator!
Location 4/5 - in close proximity to the town centre, bars and other attractions (10 minute walk).
Price 3/5 - reasonably priced, same as many surrounding hotels but after our experience, I would rather pay a lot more to get a bit of sleep.
I stayed on the third floor. The is a gutter smell that creeps up from the sewerage pipes and makes the room reek. After complaining, staff did nothing.
Safe was set with and old number. Asked for reset. Nothing done either.
Staircase was used to store cleaning items. I was surprised there were so many positive reviews to this hotel. The manager truly has let things slip.
It had so much potential but maintenance must have fallen short.
Paid £20 / night for three people including breakfast. The room was really for 5 people so we had a lot of space. The staff were very friendly! Helped us out when we needed. The breakfast was okay, they ran out of baguettes so they went out especially and bought us some more. Lovely! Perfect stay for one night in Hanoi, in a good location to visit the walking streets and night markets
