This was probably the best hotel we stayed at in our 2 weeks in Vietnam. I cannot think of a single thing that wasn’t exceptional. The hotel is gorgeous and spotlessly clean. The staff was over-the-top helpful and friendly. Upon check-in, they even removed the airport tags from our luggage which we had never experienced before. They also helped us locate a place to buy a duffel bag nearby once I explained what a duffel bag was. The food in the restaurant was varied and delicious. The pool area is spectacular and included a very nice gym as well as wet and dry saunas. Our room was huge and literally had everything you could possibly need, including washer and dryer, desk area, flashlight, etc. Sherwood Suites knows what it’s doing with this property and I cannot recommend it more highly.
This is probably the best hotel I have stayed at. Excellent, new facilities. Very spacious suite with a lovely view. Lots of TV channels. Excellent amenities and very friendly staff.
My particular thanks to the cafe in the lobby. I have a very sensitive stomach, so I was naturally concerned about Asian food and how I was going to react to it. My worries were for nothing - food was exceptional and I dd not have any adverse reaction. Staff member Dang was most accommodating.
The only downside - poolside bar was closed, but I do not hold it against the hotel - it was almost empty with the unfortunate onset of the coronavirus. I will definitely be back when the dust settles! Thank you.
If you’re traveling with family or a large group, this is the best place to stay. We booked a studio and a 2 bedroom apartment, and both were above average in size. The hotel also had a good sized swimming pool, jacuzzi, games room and kids playroom. The breakfast was good, and would recommend their daily special, that changes everyday.
There’s a shuttle service that takes you to multiple drop off points. The shuttle comes every hour so you could easily visit all the tourist sites and conveniently get back to the hotel.
Overall great hotel and would definitely return!
We stayed at the Sherwood Suites in Ho Chi Minh City in the middle of an 18-day trip to SE Asia. It was the absolute perfect choice for us. It's very conveniently located. We got most places on foot but taxis and grab-motorbikes are readily available and pretty inexpensive.
We were pleasantly surprised at all the luxury appointments of the property. Gleaming marble and glistening light fixtures in the common areas. It was St. Regis level glamour.
The extremely clean guest room is really an apartment. Huge space, nicely decorated, super-comfortable bed, gorgeous and spacious bathroom with double sinks, shower and tub (more marble). Fully equipped kitchen. It was nice to make our own breakfast and have the ability to store food and drinks in the fridge. We did two loads of laundry in the washer-dryer which was great to have mid-trip.
Almost forgot to mention the very fast Wi-Fi.
The gym was the best I've ever seen at a hotel. Brand new equipment and lots of it. The pool and sauna was also brand new and lovely. If there wasn't so much to do in the city we would have been perfectly happy spending more time at the hotel.
The value is second to none and once again the service as it is elsewhere in Vietnam was friendly, warm and gracious. The front desk staff was happy to help with whatever we needed. I was delighted with everything about this hotel.
We did a lot of reviewing on Trip Advisor in preparation for our trip to Saigon. Most importantly reviewing hotel review to help us decide where we wanted to spend on 12 days and 11 nights. When we travel for that duration of time, we will typically split up the stay between a couple of hotels so we can experience the hotel and hospitality of the different venues. This place is amazing, from the friendliness of the staff, cleanliness of the hotel, and the other reviewers of this hotel are correct. If you can add breakfast to your stay you won't be disappointed. If you are going to Saigon / Ho Chi Minh and don't stay at the Sherwood Suites "You Will Regret it". We fly from California so we got in late, and immediately I knew we chose the correct hotel to meet our needs for our trip. The staff was extremely friendly, but the next morning at breakfast is when it got even better. There are three employees I'd like to recognize Thu - always greeted you with a smile to start our day! Dang - got us addicted to Vietnamese Coffee. Nha Y- super friendly and just an awesome person to converse with each and every day of our stay. There were also two concierges that were extremely helpful with providing answers to our questions and yes we had plenty of questions. Tam and Sang really made planning our days and travel arrangements pleasant. We had breakfast daily, even had lunch in the restaurant. One evening we were struggling with jet lag and called for room service, WOW! We ordered pho and papaya salad. Very very happy with the service here. We are already planning our return trip to Saigon and I won't need to read any reviews for hotels as I know exactly where we will be staying. The only small area of opportunity was as an iPreferred customer I thought we would be offered an upgrade but that didn't happen. Maybe it's difficult to accommodate an update for 11 nights.
