DEL PILAR MIRAFLORES is an hotel that should be rated 5 stars. Excellent roomy rooms, roomy bathroom, large bathing towels, hand towels and face towels. Face tissues, [Kleenex], daily supply of conditioned, body cream and shampoo with bar soaps. Bar fridge in the room. Excellent maid service. Formal dressed up waiters in a quiet restaurant with a varied menu. They do not nickel and dime on anything to make your stay comfortable and memorable.
It is an exceptional hotel in our opinion.
I was there for a three-nights stay and I enjoyed both the great location and the helpful staff. The hotel is a bit hidden in a small street, reception is small and the rooms were not extraordinary and a bit cold. But there was everything you needed, the breakfast room and variety were good and, as I said, the people was very nice.
I had some working meetings in Miraflores and the place was more than enough for my purposes.
I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights (Saturday-Tuesday).
The room was on the seventh floor, and had a great view (by Lima standards) over the nearby university. The room can't be faulted, although there was a small amount of noise from nearby bars and traffic on the Saturday night.
The hotel was in a central location, being 5 minutes walk from parque central miraflores, and the staff were great.
The breakfast ranged from brilliant on the weekend day, to above average on weekdays (where there were less customers).
Overall, a great stay.
We traveled to Lima on our honeymoon May 2019, prior to our visit all the communication with this hotel was easy and they organised our airport transfer.
After a 12.5hour flight we were so grateful to be picked up and taken to the airport and checked in without any issues.
Our room was so nice- big bathroom, comfy bed and balcony.
The staff were really friendly and the breakfast was great.
The best location for walking around miraflores- which is a very safe area to explore in Lima, it’s right by Kennedy park - which is worth a visit if you like cats!
We walked to huacha pucllana and larcomar shopping centre easily from the hotel.
Would recommend a walking tour of Lima if you haven’t got much time to explore- we did the “city of kings” and magic water park- it is an incredible city, you won’t regret a visit and would highly recommend treating yourself to a stay at Del Pilar hotel.
I arrived earlier, but e-mailed them so my room was immediately available. The staff is really nice and ready to help with suggestions, maps, find cabs and walk the extra mile to answer your questions and needs. The highlight is the breakfast: hot, with a variety of fruits, teas, coffee, cheese, ham, eggs, yogurt and local cereals - they hired locals with expertise in the country who guided me about the local produce, fruits, and vegetables (offered at the breakfast!) with information in their history related to the Incas and first inhabitants. By the way, for currency exchange: the city offers that in every corner of Miraflores - safe and fast!
