The hotel is good also the facilities is ok but my stay for 29 nights was not comfortable at all because of the construction work outside ,thats why I had checked out , and my plan was to stay 3 more months but I can’t it’s very bad noise coming from outside and its daily from 4:00AM and I have checked with hotel before proceeding with my reservation they told me no more construction but they Lied to me it was very bad and I believe this construction will take more and more and also the swimming pool opening time is very bad from 10:00AM I want do my exercise and swim in the morning before duty but cant do this
Booked a 2 BHK apartment in the 13th Floor for 68 days during EID 2019. First time in Time Dunes Hotel but multiple time in other hotels in that vicinity Al Barsha. The apartment I booked was the one with an Open Kitchen style so that whoever is in kitchen cooking will never feel left alone as it's within the hall (still was spacious).
Compared to other hotels in that Al Barsha area, it is the most spacious and clean hotel I've found and as per the rate I had to negotiate to and fro and the price (final) was much worth with the standards and facilitated provided. Talking about the view; the balcony is long, not congested and has a good view of the city as there are no other buildings which block the view. The hall, bedrooms and bathrooms, all are spacious and all amenities included. Have room service thrice a week (since it was more than 2-month stay). Shorter the stay the more the no. of days of room service in a week. Have a swimming pool, a fitness center and a sauna room which is maintained well on the topmost floor of the building.
Now talking about the service, some staff (can’t say the names) but are kind of not caring, irresponsible and rude indirectly and need to inform them repeatedly if any issues pop up which were not resolved. Undergone few issues here and there in the room, especially on the wifi and on the washing machine provided.
However, there are standout ones who were well versed and know what their responsibility is and how to handle a customer. The bell boy (Mr. Zaheer) is very polite, respectful, down to earth and know his job very well. Also at the reception desk (Ms./Mrs. Shraddha) which I met after a couple of weeks stay over there (where all my complaints which were reported multiple times before to a different person was all resolved by that lady, thanks to her). She took the complaint up to herself (when I did mention that the complaint is reported like the day I moved in) and she sorted it out in 2 days time (for the wifi she even contacted the wifi service company and brought them to the room as the IT guys of the hotel tried to fix, but the problem was still there). She is excellent in her duty and needed to say, was polite and friendly talking to a customer no matter what situation is and was very responsive and responsible. Then the staff at the Swimming pool (Mr. Arun) was polite and well behaved to the customer and doing his part over there. These 3 of them were the standouts which I would say personally know what hospitality is and they deserve a pay rise compared to other staff’s experience I had from that hotel. These 3 sure deserve to be there for excellent customer experience and needs to appreciate and applauded for giving my family a great service. Thank you.
The hotel booking was for my family which included Mom, Dad, Sis, two nieces and me and we all felt like a home in that 2-month stay. Hotel is worth enough to stay in every way, and for better service, I would say to contact the staffs mentioned above as they were the best for us during our stay.
We were booked for a week by our building management while our flat was under maintenance but even the fact that our stay was free didnt make it pleasant and enjoyable and we left asap before the end of our reservation.
Rooms:we had a one bedroom, it was really spacious and kitchen fully equiped, the wifi was good. However, furniture is old and really uncomfortable, rooms were very dark with poor lighting,TVs had poor image quality and limited channels choices, the AC had no heating option and even the regular fan was too cold for winter, the main issue was the tobaco smell all over the place we were coughing and suffocating even while windows were open.
Service: the staff were nice and polite but slow, everthing we asked for took a long time to happen, daily cleaning was available but i prefered to clean myself, sanitize everything and use my own products to avoid kitchen and toilet being cleaned with the same cloth (personal choice - im not saying it will necessarily happen)
Facilities: the gym and roof pool looked nice, breakfast was ok with sufficient choices for this category of hotels
Location: probably the best thing about this hotel is the proximity to mall of emirates and metro
I checked the price for the hotel it was quite reasonable, personally i would have preferred to stay in a simple hotel 25m room but enjoy a more clean and luxuruous atmosphere. but if u have a long stay then kitchen and washing machine would be very useful.
My father and I were here for about a week in January and stayed in a 2-bedroom apartment.
The beds were a bit too hard for my liking and there was a lot of construction going on outside, with the rooms showing some wear and tear..
That being said. The apartment itself was roomy and with plenty of space. Full refrigerator and kitchen.
The location of the hotel is nice. It is just a couple of minutes walk to the Mall of the Emirates, also several local convenience stores nearby if you need snacks and drinks. And if you need to travel to the center of Dubai, which is not far, taxis are very cheap.
There are two things that are especially nice about staying at the Dunes. One is the wonderful and tranquil pool area on the rooftop. The hotel has a very nice and clean swimming pool and whirlpool. There are glass walls around, so even with some of the construction mentioned previously, it is very quiet and relaxing at the top.
The other thing is the staff at the hotel. They are extremely friendly, courteous and helpful. Always eager to help or assist if you have questions. Housekeeping staff were also the best.
Very good hotel for the price and I would recommend it. The Al-Barsha district is quite nice and it is a part of Dubai that is developing quickly.
