The exterior and lobby looks appealing. The rooms gives you a feel of a business hotel. Rooms are not very spacious and lots of space was occupied for creating work space inside room. As we were family travelling it was of no use to us. They didn't care to check that and offer a room. We stayed just for a night and had to leave early in the morning so can't comment on the service part. The swimming pool was nice and well maintained but there was no staff available around. We wasted about half an hour to get someone to assist us.
Overall a good stay if you're looking at something near to the airport and sightseeing places like rock garden.
Staff is very unprofessional, rooms are very average and depressing, not clean, looks old and furniture as well very low grade. they kept refilled unsealed aquafina mineral water bottles in room, hotel looks very much downgraded than what it was earlier, total waste of money. Avoid it
We got a good DB&B rate from Bookingdotcom and were happy with what we got. Since being taken out of Park Plaza branding, room decor is looking a little tired and worn, and a couple of bulbs were blown. We arrived late, but still had a decent buffet dinner though bottle water is extra. Room was comfortable and quiet, and a complimentary newspaper in the morning. Breakfast was comprehensive. A handy 5-minute walk from the shopping area and 30-minutes brisk walk to the capitol complex. Watch out for auto rickshaw drivers who don't know about the hotel name change - ours got lost... and the security to get into the lobby is a pain.
I had stayed in this several times but they are declining themselves day by day.
The hotel location was good but the rooms are pathetic. They didn't maintained the room the washroom Darin was choked. The furniture is smelly.
Breakfast: the staff was not attentive at all. They didn't even ask you for water. All are gathered at one place and having fun.
Not recommended at all.
A poor stay, even they charge also so high for the rooms but in service they are zero.
Reached the hotel around 10 am after a red eye flight and was hoping to check in and get some sleep. The security staff put our bags through X-ray and found a sharp object (shaving scissors) on the screen. They insisted they need to confiscate it as they dont allow sharp objects. Never heard of this in any hotel before . Tried to reason with them that this bag just went through airport security and they had no issues , that is when they let it pass. Next up was the front desk staff who flat out refused to let us check in early despite having rooms available. They insisted we pay 2000 extra if we wanted to check in right away or wait for an hour at least. It almost seemed like they wanted to punish us for arriving early. It was freezing cold and finally we did get to check in after an hour long wait.
The room itself was quite decent, clean and fairly spacious a little old though. We requested Wi-Fi access and the staff said they would send credentials which never reached us. We were out and about in the city most of the day and finally hoping to hit the bed early but that was not to be! They had a wedding function happening on the lawns overlooking our room playing loud music. The sound proofing of the windows was terrible and just had to wait till the party got over to fall asleep.
If managed by the right people this could still be a really nice hotel! Till then stay at some other place if that is an option.
Plus point: Location is great! close to Rock Garden, Sukhna Lake, Restaurants in sector 7 etc.
