After an arduous flight post work from Mumbai I reached Kochi famished nearer 930 at night. The hotel pick up car fetched me and within a blink I was at the hotel lobby. I was greeted warmly in a traditional Kerala fashion by the front desk with a refreshing beverage made of chamomile tea turmeric and litchi.
I was swiftly checked in and my room was on the first floor. The property is new and vibrant with simple and contemporary design. The room was comfortable and had all the basic amenities. I was hungry and decided to settle for dinner at the hotel restaurant Lilas Kitchen. The restaurant boasted of local specialities in addition to the standard staples. The staff was extremely helpful and recommended that I try some local specialities. The highlight of my stay was the dinner I had. Chef Siju prepared a fantastic prawn curry with appams red rice and a grilled fish. Additionally he also got sample snacks and pickles specially prepared and briefed me about the cuisine and preparation methods. He also promised me a special biryani for lunch which I was unable to have as I checked out the next morning.
The hotel infrastructure was functional using the modest space effectively. I used the gymnasium which had the latest equipment. There is also a small pool on the rooftop.
Recommend this property for a layover at the time of entry or exit to Kerala and definitely look forward to visit again, especially to devour some of the local dishes prepared by Chef Siju.
This is a very good option when it comes to a 5 stars hotel by the airport. The decor is lovely, the rooms small but well designed, the bed comfortable. The property has a coffee shop, a restaurant with outdoor seating and a swimming pool. I found it very comfortable and clean but I was quite disappointed by the staff. Considering this is a 5 stars property, there is definitely room for improvement when it comes to service. Some of the staff were ok, but most of them were quite rude and not very interested in offering good customer service. Despite of that, I would still recommend this hotel for a pit stop before your flight, it’s good value for money.
Fantastic breakfast, and evening meal. Lovely rooftop pool. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. Whilst the hotel isn’t licensed for alcohol consumption, there are some really nice non alcoholic drinks.. we spent Valentine’s Day here and wanted to have a drink, so the staff arranged transport to their sister hotel The Courtyard where they serve alcohol. Thank you Port Muziris for making our last day in India memorable
This hotel is very nearby to the airport and supplies free airport drop off. The rooms are very comfy with extremely thick mattresses. Certainly the thickest I have ever slept on and had a perfect nights sleep. Lovely roof top swimming pool. Highly recommend this hotel
