We stayed there twice. First room we had was second floor with a nice terrace area in front. Second one was ground level, not so nice and not so well located but ok for one night. Generally a lovely place and good value. Three pools, good breakfast and poolside menu. Centrally located on the main street of Sanur, close to shops and restaurants and five minutes to the beach.

I'd checked out Swastika on our last trip to Sanur and happily booked it for this trip for our last few days before flying home. Our group of three (1x 50s, 2x 20yo) had a Deluxe room, with three single beds (two generously sized). These rooms are deep in the property by the largest pool and we found a ground floor room very convenient. There was a dressing room to store our cases as well as a bathroom in good clean condition. For the price, we felt that it was great value. The location of Swastika is very convenient, with a street to the beach across the road, and plenty of shops, warungs, restaurants, spas etc just out the front. We used a laundry across the road and could walk to the beach markets and the night market, although tbh we usually caught a taxi from out the front. The staff were really helpful and friendly and we arranged our airport transfer with the hotel driver - the same price as looking for a driver out on the street. At the time we stayed a lot of the other guests were older Europeans and many seemed to be return guests. We didn't notice guests with children, although it would be very suitable to stay with kids. There was a TV, but reception was a bit fuzzy. Wifi was generally okay, although it could drop in and out a bit depending on where we were in the hotel. We kept our passport and valuables in the boxes at the front desk and felt very comfortable doing so. Overall we thought we had good value for money in a clean and comfortable hotel.

If you are not into the fancy pancy resorts and want large, clean, comfortable rooms with balconies to sit out and read your book on, then this is it. Stunning gardens and peacefull.

Very affordable, privacy if you want it, amazing pools, one with a swim up bar that also serves food.

We only stayed one night, as a last minute booking (we couldnt be bothered going back to our hotel in Seminyak), but we will book in for a week this year 2020 can't wait.

The rooms are massive but the doors don’t close fully so watch out for insects.
Pool side is great and staff are nice but theres no safe in your room.
For the price I paid I really expected a shower that worked properly.
Not a bad stay but you can get much better places for the price you pay

Arrived at the Swastika Bungalows at the end of a busy 2 week tour of Sumatra and Java and was pleasantly surprised with this, our last hotel. We had a large 1st floor room, which was spotlessly clean, with what looked like a newly fitted bathroom ( it was a real treat to have a bath, after 9 previous hotels and only one other bath) and a lovely veranda to sit and read before going out. We used all 3 pools and all were peaceful and the water was wonderfully warm. Breakfast was great and I had some lovely presented pancakes. The hotel is on a busy touristy road with plenty of restaurants, coffee shops and shops, but once inside the hotel it was tranquil and relaxing. All of the staff that we met were friendly and helpful. We had to check out at 12 but were not leaving until late afternoon, but we were able to shower and change ready for our flight in the hotels open air shower, where we were provided with towels, shampoo and shower gel. If we were to return to Sanur I would happily book the Swastika again.

You will be swimming each morning, afternoon and evening! All three pools are great for laps. Only two were functioning on my last visit, but theyre all large enough
