We liked so much the traditional atmosphere in Gandra.
The owner offered us a welcome drink. He is very nice and helpful but he insisted a little bit for booking boat and trips.
Nice garden sorroundings the room.
Cleanliness and room in the Indonesian average.
Breakfast included and served in the patio of the room(banana pancake or toast with eggs and coffe or tea).
Good price: 180.000 rupias per night per room.
Perfect location, in the center of Ubud market.
We had a great stay at Gandra Homestay when we visited Ubudh last year. We stayed in the biggest bungalow, with a huge porch and a big room. The bathroom was a bit outdated but you get what you pay for :) The staff was really nice and breakfast was included. One thing you also can´t miss when you visit Ubudh is to take a bicykle-tour from the mountains and through the small villages.
Thank you for a very plesant stay!
nice guesthouse, nice people, nice and clean room, good breakfast, we paid 160 rp, shower had warm water, good location, we looked at other ones and were happy we took this at it was about the cheapest as well
Within 2 minutes of us putting our backpacks down the owner had brought us over tea and coffee with a smile, a simple touch but one that is much appreciated.
Room was fairly basic with hot water that ran out after a couple minutes, but the room itself was spacious and we had a little veranda overlooking a garden that is so peaceful and quiet considering how close it is to the Main Street.
Nice atmosphere and carefully looked after, however there are probably lots of similarly beautiful places dotted around town
The guy that helped us with a room seemed to be nice but after a while he was just trying to get money from us and kept on talking about the different tours we could book through him (although we told him already 3 times we didn't want any tour). There were no blankets (just some table cloth-ish things where you needed to ask for)
The bed wasn't that good and there was a lot of noise.
I wouldn't go there.
