Stayed here with another couple for 7 nights. Very nice hotel, plenty of seating in the lobby area if you didn’t want to sit outside in the evening & loads of outside seating by the pool bar and stage area. Bar was good and well stocked. The pool is very large with ample sunbeds the beach area is ample size also with a very good bar and plenty of seating for diners a very helpful man will find you a sun lounger either in the shade or in the Sun. The rooms are comfortable only downside was the air-conditioning wasn’t very good maids come in daily to tidy your room And replace the coffee sachets and bottled water. The hotel is predominantly occupied by German guests with a few Russian and other nations there staff are friendly and help where possible there is also shops on the bottom floor area where you can purchase clothes snacks and drinks. The food in the main restaurant is varied and good quality food with varied theme nights never struggled to find anything I liked. My only criticism would be the post mix Pepsi both diet and normal or very watery but on the whole drink quality is good I will definitely stay at this hotel again. The hotel is about 3 miles outside the centre of side which costs €10 in a taxi or one euro on the Dolmus The drivers speak hardly any English and it’s hard to understand, taxi’s are very good. The harbour area shops and Apollo ruins are well worth a visit. The Turkish gala night in the hotel on Thursday was excellent the food was fantastic and the entertainment was very good all set up outside round the stage and pool bar area
very original and thoughtful architecture. everything was wonderful: room, staff, restaurant, bars, beach, pool. getting to the beach is a long way off, but the path runs through a eucalyptus grove and a bus runs for the lazy. the menu is so diverse that we did not have time to try everything. unobtrusive music, no annoying animators. it was a bit annoying that smokers are not separated from normal people
We stayed for 9 days and had a lovely time. The swimming pool was nice and refreshing (not too cold, no chlorine smell).
We were the only English people in the hotel (most guests were German and Russian). If you don’t speak German or Russian, communicating might be difficult.
Animation team were great. Super welcoming and a lot of fun!
We spent there 2 nights in July on AI basis with two kids and my parents.
Although the hotel looks really nice, the AI service was awful with the lowest quality food and drinks I’ve ever had in my life. Moreover, it only catered for the Germans, others were completely ignored. It wasn’t worth the money we had paid. However, with much better management it could be a nice place.
We asked for some cakes for our son’s 5th birthday but the receptionist offered a fruit basket and a bottle of wine instead (???) I don’t think he had a clue what we wanted. As a result, we didn’t get anything at the end.
- very nice building, pool & garden
- lovely beach area
- good and free beach bar
- staff only spoke German and Russian but definitely not English
- rude bar staff (especially a middle-aged man)
- quality of food & drinks – the cheapest kinds of food, stinky fish, hard potatoes,
wine like vinegar, only sugary fizzy drinks for kids etc.
- far from everything – you really need a car to leave the hotel
- animation – very loud and only in German (it was really annoying)
- the dining room isn’t big enough – we always had to wait for a table
- we had to queue up for food
- kids’ play area should be improved
We stayed at this property only a few days ago, we only booked the one night due to our flights changing and our other hotel being fully booked & unable to accommodate us for an extra night.
We a family of 2 adults 2 children & an infant, we were given 2 connecting twin rooms. We booked through laterooms.com for a total price of 120 euros (which I think was half price).
The staff were very friendly & efficiant upon arrival, as we had arrived before the check in time we were given directions to the dining room & told that by the time we had lunch our rooms would be ready.
On a first impression the hotel was very clean, but dated, it had obviously had a little revamp also, freshly painted reception area & all the furniture had been painted & re-covered in an attempt to give a more mordern feel. There was lift access to all floors, we were sleeping on the 3rd floor which had also recently been decorated, the bedrooms were lovely, bathrooms need work though, as again they were very dated, but everywhere was very very clean. When the lift stopped at the 2 floors below it looked as if these floors were waiting to be revamped, but I cant be sure as we obviously didnt go inside any of the actual rooms.
Outside of the hotel there was a pool bar please note this was the only bar in the hotel which was open when we were there, there were another 2 bars & restaurant in the hotel which we found closed, unused & empty. There was also a disco bar (not sure if this opened as we went to bed around 10pm). It was easy to get served as they generally had more than one staff working, which was good.
There was one big pool & a childrens paddling pool, the depth in the main pool was 135cm-160cm so I didnt think it was that great for children unless they were really small & could use the paddling pool. But again the pools were very clean from what I saw. There seemed to be just enough sunbeds for people staying at the hotel, plenty of table & chairs to sit at though, we did think there could have been more parasols though.
We were staying at the hotel on an all inclusive basis, there was a main restaurant & a pool side cafe (which served lunch only), I believe there is also a snack bar at the beach which was open most of the day, a shuttle bus was provided 4-5 times per day at specific times to transport people there & back.
I would say the main restaurant food was all very fresh but average (the chefs were constantly checking the dishes to see what needed topped up). It was a usual serve yourself buffet style, plenty of bread & salad dishes, fries & maybe a choice of 2 meat dishes, there was freshly grilled turkey & a beef stew on the night we stayed. There was also a choice of desserts, some very bright coloured looking things which we steered clear from. There was however some lovely fresh fruit, which we all enjoyed. There was a table service for the drinks in the restaurant, the waiter who served us was very good & remembered the drinks we had all ordered previously when serving us again :-) We also had breakfast in the restaurant which was again average, fruit juice was available but I steered clear as it had an illuminous vibe to it, you could buy freshly squeezed orange for 1.5 euros per glass which I didnt try. We didnt have lunch here as we had it at the pool bar, here they served bugers, sandwiches, pasta & pizza on a made to order basis, this was fine, could have been better but we didnt have any complaints either. Staff were very friendly & kept checking that our drinks were topped up and asking if we had had enough food.
Unfortunately, food in the hotel was only available for a couple of hours at breakfast lunch & dinner. If you missed these times you just went hungry, however at 4pm they bring out some pastries, cake & turkish pizza...you have to be quick though as everyone rushes to get the food & once it is gone it is gone!!
The hotel had an annimation team, from what I observed they organised childrens & adults activities throughout the day, there was also evening entertainment too (although its not my sort of thing) other than that there is generally music playing...most of it pretty dated 80s music...
The hotel also had tennis courts & pretty gardens, unfortunately the look of the hotel was not my taste, a cross between hi-de-hi & hurst castle!! I'm not sure how they could improve this and it probably looked very impressive when it was origionally built! I think this was maybe once quite an exclusive hotel, it had a grand piano on the lobby, & marble flooring throughout. Like I said I think it has lost all of it's life somehow.
We wouldnt go back, mainly due to the fact it is hotel policy to turn off all of the aircon between 2.30am & 8.00am (needless to say we woke up at 3am in a sauna environment unable to get back to sleep). The aircon was on very low throughout the time it was on too, you had to actually sit directly under a vent to feel it....shame as I think this must lose them customers....the majority of the guests staying seemed to be german there were also a few british people too. Not sure which other nationalities.
