I left some important items back at the hotel in September last year. They said they would send the items so I sent them $25, they never sent them to me.
I do know that the room was big though and the staff were lovely at the time.
We booked 2 nights and planned to find somewhere else for the rest of our stay. But after comparing Trust Villa to other places, there was no doubt that we had the best place already. The husband and wife (and their young lady house keeper) who run the place looked after us like family. They are shy and very sweet. They hugged us when we left and waved at the curb until the cab drove us away.
Don't worry that they can't speak english. They do know how to use Google Translate!
The room was immaculate. Every day we left the room, we came back to the room cleaned. The bathroom is huge and well lit, the beds are extra large and softer than the average Viet bed.
The $2 menu is fantastic, especially if you need a break from local food. Tea and fruits were complimentary with each meal.
The gardens are lovely. The whole place is relaxing and good for the kids to play around.
They didn't end up charging us for the bikes we rented to get around. Biking around the area is a must. The location is close to a local market and about 30,000VND for a cab to the old town.
For the overall cleanliness and welcome, my kids declare it the "second best place ever" (our own home the best 😉)
Thanks Trust Villa! We love you ❤
We look online website this place and booked 1 room with my friend for a week. The room nice but alot mosquitos, no reception and the owner no understand english. When we come late at night nobody take care us and room key they put on table outside near room (feel not safe). No good service.
The women working at the homestay are very nice and quite generous.
Bathrooms are large and clean. The room is large and has a lot of natural light. Outside, there is a very nice garden.
Make sure to being your own soap though because the bathroom doesn't have any.
The meals at the homestay are a little expensive, but the convenience makes up for it. If you want to save some money you can ride on a free bike to a nearby market to eat.
I hate leaving negative reviews but unfortunately have to on this occasion.
We checked in around 8pm and told to take our shoes off before entering the house even though the floor was pretty filthy? We were both tired having had travelled all day around Hue, so we just wanted our room and a nice warm shower but the receptionist almost demanded to know our plans and proceeded to "suggest" tours and places to visit. We had to keep saying to her that we'd decide in the morning, we were too tired and not in any state to book tours.
She finally showed us to our room which was on the ground floor and in the hallway was a guy sleeping on the floor which at first glance looked like a dead body? Most odd.
The room was huge, don't get me wrong however it stunk and the bed had stains on it, there was also dirty underwear left in the wardrobe. We looked at the bathroom and there was hair all over the drain in the shower and poo specks in the toilet. I couldn't bare to be in the room too long. We left it too late to get any sort of refund so we just paid the full amount and almost ran out of there.
The receptionist was full of apologies and offered us another room but I didn't even want to look. It's very cheap but cheap for a reason. No thanks.
