We stayed for one night while visiting Kanazawa. It is a capsule hotel with separate capsule rooms for men and women. The capsules are big, like almost a room and each person has a separate capsule. I am uncomfortable in small spaces and was worried of staying here but I really loved the capsules here. The shared bathrooms are located outside the locked rooms in the corridors and showers in the basement. Sleep wear and slippers are provided for you.
They only have 2 showers for women, which was a negative part of the hotel.
The property is spotless (lobby, room, bathroom, shower/bath area). Bathroom and shower/bath are communal. We had the family room for the 4 of us. The room is relatively big. 2 futon and 2 fold out beds. The futon beds are comfortable, but the fold out beds were thin. There are lots of shopping and restaurants within 1/2 mile walk from the hotel. Hotel breakfast is Japanese and was good. The front desk staff was professional and efficient. It was hard getting them to elaborate on their answers, even in Japanese. The hotel is on a major road. There is a JR bus stop right in front of the hotel.
The room itself was just liking having a little single room in a business hotel but with no actual lock on the door and shared bathroom facilities. a wonderful spa downstairs, clean, free amenities, and centrally located. Yes, the bed was rather hard but with so much walking i hardly noticed. Staff were also helpful.
I stayed for one night. It’s very clean. The room came with a towel, washcloth, loungewear, and toothbrush. There’s a small compartment to lock things. The female bathrooms have brushes, hair curlers/straighteners and hair dryers. My only issue was the bed; It was so stiff and uncomfortable.
